I did mine yesterday evening. I locked myself in the bathroom, it's the most private room in the house. I didn't want DS10 to overhear what I was trying to get. I wanted to surprise him.

I loved my CM booking my ressies. She was so great. When she booked my last night (I was worried getting a Chef Mickeys dinner for 4 on a Friday night) I nearly cried. I asked her for a customer compliment line so I could pay her a compliment to someone who would hear it. Poor thing had never been asked that, and I think she was almost in tears. I told her she made my night (and I wasn't feeling well yesterday), gave me everything I wanted and for the time frames I was shooting for (some of these were split ressies for my group of 4-2 going to one rest. and young son and I going somewhere else), when I told her I wanted to pay the compliment, she said I made her night. :goodvibes

Of course, as I was waiting for the main operator switchboard, my portable died. So today, I am going to see if there's an email I can send on her behalf. (I enjoyed working with her, but hate to call long distance again to pay the compliment).

But anyway-getting back to your post-I had a ball, especially knowing I got all we wanted. Positive experience for sure! :thumbsup2

I also booked and was worried that I was leaving it too late for August but I got everything I wanted with the exception of Le Cellier..I got one but had to take what was left which wasn't much! :)

I also booked everything I wanted for August except for Le Cellier, the only time they had available was 10pm, too late to try and have dinner with 5yo.
I was wondering if haveing breakfast w/character at 9:10 (which I understand lasts about 2 hours), and then have lunch at 1:25 is too soon?

I'm so jealous! We had to move our arrival date from the 16th to the 19th and I don't get to make ADR's until Tuesday! I am really nervous trying to make Thanksgiving ADR's and trying to get a Candle Light Processional pkg (when they are finally released). I hope I don't run into any trouble. DH thinks I am nuts! I keep asking him about back-up ideas for ADR's, and he's like "whatever!" He doesn't get all the fuss over ADR's. But he does get upset if he doesn't get to eat at reasonable times.

Evil Queen...It's always nice to get a great CM. I'm glad everything worked out.
michelle1...sorry about Le Cellier. This is our 1st time.
mxtiger67...I think that you are ok with your b/f and lunch time.
wannabe@wdw...Good Luck Tuesday. I don't usually sweat the ADR's. Just another excuse for the next trip. Are you trying for traditional Thanksgiving meal? We usually avoid traditional turkey and such. A group of us did BD last year and loved it. It included a traditional choice and regular menu.

That is great news, Polyaddict! :cheer2: You have some of the ADR's that we have - even Le Cellier for lunch (we prefer their lunch menu - picky eaters in our group). I just have a couple more to go. My only problem was booking Mama Melrose's with the Fantasmic package. I had to take the third choice of days. I am a little worried as it is the end of our trip and what if the weather is not good and they cancel it? - I am the Queen of "What if's".
If we can catch the show on our first day at MGM without the package, I may change the ADR. We are considering Kona or Ohana's for a day when we are at MK. Have you tried these? We rarely eat TS as have always taken our family of 5 and it is too pricey. Plus we take up valuable ride time. I have been stressing way too much over a great service that is free - LOL. I am sure that we will trade a few TS for CS. :wizard: :wizard: :wizard:

We arrive ON Thanksgiving so no 180+10 for me, except for Candelight (Im trying to plan it for that Sunday). Im hoping to get Whispering Canyon for Thanksgiving but a I have a few backups.

deany...We ate O'hana before they changed the menu and it WAS our favorite. We are trying for the 1st time since the change on this trip so not sure how we feel about it after they got rid of 3 fav's green beans, rice and pineapple. Kona is our new favorite after last trip. My kids loved the beef teriyaki and molten cake dessert.

PolyAddict,
My dh wants to eat a traditional Thanksgiving dinner and he said he would prefer a buffet. We eat at 1900 Park Fare all the time and the food is usually very good (plus dd's can eat with Cindy and Prince Charming). What part of La. are ya'll from. We live outside of Baton Rouge in Denham Springs.

Hi Neighbor!! We live in Metairie. I agree about 1900 Park Fare, very good. We couldn't fit it in this trip. Where are ya'll staying?

Hi, we are staying at the BWV. We have eaten at Ohanas 4 times since the change (we have eaten there twice on each of our last two trips), I liked it just as much as before. My dd's love it. My girls love all the shrimp and meat! We also enjoy breakfast there, too. We hopefully will be eating at Ohanas on Tuesday and then doing the Luah on our last night (Satruday). I expect to see a lot of other Louisiana folks there!
