My DD2 and DD8 LOVE Mary Poppins. Especially the little one. She wants to watch it every night. She's always singing the songs. Now, our whole family has been bitten by the "Boppins" bug, as little DD2 calls it.. Not so much the first time we saw it, maybe the 10th or so, lol.

Anyway, I had never seen the movie before so I had no idea what it was like. It's really quite good, IMHO. Just wondering what others thought.

We also love Mary Poppins. I made my 8yo dd the cutest smocked Mary Poppins set that she wore to the park last week. I was trying to attch a photo, but can't figure out how. Mary Poppins was gorgeous at the CRT we attended.

Mary Poppins has always been my favorite! I was so upset last week when we ran into her in UK in Epcot and my DD-1 was asleep in her stroller. I really wanted to get her pic with Mary. Mary Poppins saw me in the corner and came over to see me and DD. I got a really cute picture of Mary Poppins kneeling next to her while she slept.

I was surprised when I rented the movie a couple of years ago how much my son, then 6, loved the movie and especially the songs and would sing them all the time. He got the special edition DVD for Christmas and has watched it several times, often sings the songs. He really likes Bert and Mary, but the chimneysweep scenes and songs are his favorite. Don't know whether he'd admit it since he'll soon be a "cool" 8-yr-old, but he'd be thrilled to meet Mary Poppins and I'm hoping to find her at the British pavilion at Epcot (any idea what time/day she'd be there?) and am even considering the Mary Poppins breakfast at 1900 Park Fare, but am wondering if it's a more "girly" event or if there's a good mix of boys and girls. Anyone with any experience?

As for me, the character I am most looking forward to meeting is Rafiki at Animal Kingdom!

My DS (now) 22 LOVES her. Ever since he was a litle tyke. His first trip to Disney ever, he saw her in the parade and all he could say was "She's BEAUTIFUL!" What a great memory.

To him she is Practically Perfect in Everyway!

My DS (3) loves that movie as do I - take note of my user name, location etc.

As you can see by my user name she is my favorite !!! I would love to find things in the parks with her on it. Has anyone had any luck finding anything?

I love, love Mary Poppins - I always have! Cindy is still my number 1 fav but Mary is a close second on the list.

What is your favorite scene?.....I know it's hard but if I had to pick I would pick the "I love to laugh" part....cracks me up! :rotfl2:

We love Mary Poppins too! DD4 and DD8 both sing all the songs ALL the TIME! We didn't see Mary Poppins on their first trip last year so I'm really looking forward to catching her this time!

When DS was 4yo he was in love with Mary Poppins, so when in WDW we took him to see her (via character brkfast) at GF 1900 Fare. He was so awe struck it took coaxing to get him to pose for a picture! Now DD 20mnths walks around the house saying poppin. I can't wait to see how she reacts when she sees her in June. (DS is 14 now & would die if he knew I told this story!)

hmm..do you notice my user name :) . We just had breakfast with her at 1900 Park Faire last week and dh took a picture of her at mgm for me. My all time favorite character.

Too funny! I just got the special anniversary Mary Poppins DVD in the mail today from Disney Movie Club! It's my all time favorite, and DS6 hasn't seen it before-- can't wait to see if he likes it too.

Mary Poppins is one of my favorites. I have loved it since I was a little girl.

OUr whole family loves the movie. My one daughter especially loves Mary Poppins and the last time we were down at WDW she had a magical moment. We were sitting on the curb watching the spectromagic parade and along comes Mary Poppins all lit up. My daughter nudged me to point her out and as Mary Poppins walked by us she came over and touched my daughter's hand. The look on her face was priceless!! We have it all on video and it almost brings tears to my eyes watching it knowing how much that meant to her. If you asked her what her favorite moment was on that Disney trip, her response would be holding Mary Poppins hand! :earsgirl:

My 4 yr old DS also loves Mary Poppins. We sing the songs for a week after each viewing. She will always be one of my favs. I think I was most excited to see her of all the 'people' characters.

I have a PS for GF for 1900 park fare breakfast. I understand Mary Poppins is one of the characters that will be there.

Me and DD love her. I swear I have seen the move 100 times. DD was so excited to see her in Epcot on our last trip. My MIl was not sure who she was at first, but DD knew right away...lol

I would have to say that Mary Poppins is my one of my favorites ! As a little girl back in the early 60's ..it was the first movie that I ever went to see ...the 1st ever to a movie theatre. What was even more special is that my father brought me to see the movie( back then I don't remember many father-daughter outings)! I grew up singing all of the songs :"A Spoonful of Sugar" and "Supercalifragilisticexpealidocious" ???? sp..Anyways...Great Movie and LOVE Mary Poppins !!!!

Yes ,we saw her at 1900 Park Fare Character Breakfast back in 2000. I enjoyed seeing her and having a picture taken with her, probably more than my DD did who was 4 at the time!!!

LOL - Even more amazing because back then you got to see the movie ONCE - no watching the video/dvd over and over...My little one loves Mary Poppins also, I have my eye out, but there is not too much out there to buy her with the mary poppins theme. She wants to be her for halloween, so I need to find her a costume. I was thinking of looking for a first communion dress on clearance and adding red bows and ribbons, but I have no ideas regarding the hat yet...

Lisa :)
