Who else is waiting for 2007 AAA Discount Rates?

I am waiting so I can book for late September next year. We are going to do the 7 night cruise but also do some time on land first. :cool1: :thumbsup2

Looks like a lot of us will be at POR in May :) When in May will you be there? We'll be there the last week.

We'll be there for May 6-16. Our longest trip yet :cool1: :cool1:

This will be our second stay at POR. We stayed there in Nov. 2003 and loved it.

We'll be there the first week in May ... first trip with the little ones!
We're excited about staying at POR. We'll make sure the place is ready for your arrival later that month! :thumbsup2

Last thing I was told by Disney Travel Company is that it would be mid-end of september before packages would be out. They claim they are listening to guests on what they want to see brought back/dropped/ changed so they can make it perfect. I dunno though seems odd that they are pushing it back so far when many of us are going in just a few months.

Oh gosh, it's going to be a DIS run on POR! We have changed our mind so much in the last 4 weeks -- I wish Disney would just release the rates so we could book and quit flip flopping. As it stands right now, we'll be at POR May 23-31. I think someone else had those exact same dates!

:cool1: The Swan & Dolphin have their discount rates out for 2007. :cool1:

We have the Dolphin booked for Easter week :flower2: Peak Season weeks
(longest trip we ever did - 14 nights)

We booked a standard room at $199.50 - but magic pixiedust:
does happen - even at a non-Disney resort.

I asked about an ALLEARS bump up one room view level. The Dolphin reservationist said you will love your Pool room view and we bumped you up more than one level. She mentioned we were repeat guests at the Dolphin (we stayed there in 2002), staying an extended length, and are Starwood members. I think we were bumped to a Pool/MGM view with a balcony.
That would be a rack rate $339 room for $199.50 - a savings of $139.50 per night :woohoo:
Or, in other words, for our 14 nights, a savings of $1953 :cool1:

I can not wait to sleep in a Heavenly :cloud9: bed :goodvibes

I just can't figure out why you still cannot book a AAA room only reservation.

Room only appears to be a set percentage off of the rack rate depending on the season. Unless they don't want all the AAA allocated rooms booked before packages become available I don't see any good reasons behind this.

Also, this thing with... "They claim they are listening to guests on what they want to see brought back/dropped/ changed so they can make it perfect"... makes it sound like packages are going to become very complicated.

One of my guesses why it is taking so long to release the package rates is that they do not yet know how much prices are going up for tickets and food next year.

I am waiting also. We are not going until October 2007 though, so we have plenty of time to book something. Hopefully AAA rates will be good!!!

What would be considered good AAA rates. Aren't AAA rates usually 10-15% off the rack room rates? Are there other discounts that they sometimes offer?
