Who else is sweltering?

Susan- ME! It isn't much better up here. Been 100 or so the last two days and it's already hot again and it's 9:30. Yeah, I just checked our house thermostat, and it's 83 inside the downstairs. Molly was up for 2 hours in the middle of the night cause she was just miserable....brought her upstairs to the AC and she still wouldn't sleep. It's been so yucky hot. :guilty: Not very 'northwesty' at all!

Hope you are doing well!

We just went through a week of near record temps with horrible humidity. Yesterday we almost built an Ark the rain was so heavy but it really pushed the nasty weather out. We actually turned off the a/c and have the windows open. Hope you get some relief soon.

Finally getting a break here in NY ! We are in the 70's today after pounding rain last night! Keep cool!

It's 86 at 9:50am. Accuweather says it is going to rain in 10 minutes and the realfeel high will be 103. Bleh. I don't have A/C.

Just north of you KatelynnsAuntie. :wave2: I turned the thermostat down to 60 at 3 pm yesterday and the house got down to 75......at 4 am! I filled up a baby pool for the dog, but it won't be long before I'm sitting in it too. :rotfl:

Me!!! It was 110 here yesterday and it is already 93 this morning. Sure to be another hot day. The kids can't understand why they can't go outside to play :( Even in the sprinklers it's too hot to be outside. My electric bill is going to through the roof!

It was 117-118 the past 2 days here, and will cool to a roasting 115 today! Hey, but it's a dry heat! :sunny:
I think i'm looking forward to the
florida heat. At least I can go outside for more than 5 mins without bursting into flames. :furious:

84 @ 8 am this morning we are supposed to be 110 today. We have those cheap refllective blankets in all the windows to keep the sun out, and the air conditioner is at 82. Just a warning for all of the CA Diser's that have PG&E found out from my best friend that they have doubled and in some areas tripled our rates this summer hers went from 250 to over 600 this month she called and verified this with PGE but there is no notice anywhere on there website about it, looks like DH may be working overtime just to pay the bill next month. Thank goodness we have small house.

It is 92 with a heat index of 99. We are SUPPOSE to get some rain this afternoon. I am so ready for summer to END.

I try to avoid going outside at any time of the day in the AZ heat because it just never cools down! It's always at least 100 degrees all day every day in the summer.

it was still 100 at 11 p.m. last night! iiiick-it got to between 109 and 111 around here yesterday but the weather guy was rejoicing that we'de get a break in a few days and it would drop to around 103!

between pg&e bills and the amount i'm putting out on to-go food my budget is gonna bust! but no way i can stand to turn on the stove or oven-and to go out and bbq-FORGET IT! if i have to eat another microwaved frozen meal i'm gonna die!

Checking in for north Texas here. This weekend we are having a cold snap after several days of over 100 degree heat. Yesterday it got down to a frigid 98 degrees. ;)

As bad as I feel for everyone else, I'm glad I'm not the only one. :p After all, misery loves company. I usually love the summer, but this is too much!!! :sad2:

Meagan, I know what you mean about it being too hot to even go in the sprinklers! I could go to my parents' neighborhood pool, but it's too hot to even do that! :faint:

Honu, where are you? :sunny:

Robin, what happened to all the rain Portland is known for? :confused3 ;) At least you have a/c! :p All I have is a bunch of fans scattered throughout the house, NOT the same as a/c but better than nothin' I guess.

Yesterday was 104 here in Reno, it was 88 at 11 last night.

My A/C has been running non stop, I don't care what the bill is I hate the heat and am keeping the house between 72-75. The kids are all in the backyard in the pool. Today we have more clouds than usual, it is still hot but it difuses the direct sunlight. Also more humid than normal......yuck

Keep cool................Pray for rain..................Eat lots of ice cream!

It actually felt good yesterday and today, didn't it :). I was doing some yardwork this morning, and after the eleven 100+ degree days we've had lately, 93 or so felt great :goodvibes.

Looks like it will only be in the upper 80s/lower 90s next week when I'm in Florida. I better pack a coat :teeth:.
