We just came home tonight and now I'm kind of sad:sad1: Actually, when we checked out of our room at the Best Western Park Place Inn is when it hit us that our vacation was pretty much over.:guilty: We did however go into the park for a couple of hours, but mostly rode the train and did a little shopping because it was SO busy today. Everything was no shorter than a 40 minute wait. These of course were all the rides that we love. I know that we will be going back and I'm already going to start planning our next trip, but I can't help but to be a little sad. We had such a good time and my husband and I really connected:hug: on a whole new level and it really reminded me of why we married:love: I'm just sad to see such a wonderful vacation end.:guilty: On the other hand, I'm really happy for all the other people who are going to be going pretty soon and also to see the people today checking inn and to see how happy they were. Especially the kids. So, to those of you who are going soon. Have a good time!:) Will write up a mini trip report later. I'm just to tired and sad to write one right now

Haha, a terrible consequence we all are subject to!

I can't tell you how many times I've gone into a temporary depression getting onto the plane and going back home. It just paralyzes you for the next few days you finally get back.

Yea, I go home to go to sleep and when I close my eyes it still feels like I'm on the rides and that's all I can see.

I too feel the same way very time i leave. The first day i get there i start to think im 1 day closer to going home and back to work

Yep, that happens to me too. Usually doesn't start until we actually leave and then I start crying. Once I return home it's the worse because I know it will be a while before we go back.

aaaahhhhhhhhhhhh.. *hugs* for you:hug:

i understand what you mean. i love to go to disneyland with my husband.. it's like we get to be free of all the responsibilities we have and just be together.

it's such a happy time.

just start planning your next get away.:thumbsup2

I can completely relate. It's always so hard for me to leave Disneyland. It's that whole "back to reality" thing. Back to those long hours at work during the week, back to having to deal with my pain in the rear ex husband every week, back to a hectic school schedule. etc etc etc. I'd rather just wake up every morning and head to Disneyland. Planning my next trip will hold me over until then. Looking forward to reading your trip report.

I try to counter these feeling by planning the next trip. My office thinks I'm a crazy Disney freak.

My first and only visit (so far!) was last October and I fell in love with the place. I'd visited WDW and DLP before but I felt DL just had something that the other parks don't, must be the magic of it being Walt's original park :goodvibes I hated having to leave, partly since I don't know when we'll get to return. I think it's part of the reason Las Vegas didn't do much for me.. We went there after Disneyland and just wished we'd stayed in California and Disneyland longer.

I think we all feel that way when we leave. I am a disney fanatic! I ease my return home depression by planning another trip. Or reading other's TRs. Hope you feel better in a day or two :)

Me too! Oh my, I was so so sad when I got back...I didn't even do a TR! Actually, I didn't come on the boards for at least 2 weeks afterward. Talk about a post-Disney depression! ;)

Thank you for all the kind words guys! I know I might sound like such a baby because I'm sad over an ending vacation. It's just that this vacation felt extra magical for some reason. (corny, I know) So again, thank you for all the kind words!

I am known to sit on a park bench on Main Street the day we leave, bawling my eyes out because I dont want to leave. Then I come home and go through such withdrawl its a bit frightening. We all feel sad to some degree when we dont have annual passes and cant go as often. It does really suck. But just plan your next trip back and you start feeling really good again :thumbsup2

I totally know how you feel. For me, it's at WDW. At first it seems like we have so much time. Our trips are usually 10 days. We get there and I realize we still have, say, 7 days left. Then all of a sudden it's our last full day and we're leaving the next afternoon. :scared1: A total bummer!

But, at least for me I have trips to DLR to look forward to-we have AP and it only takes about 1/2 hour to get there. :goodvibes I also spend alot of time on these boards. It helps alleviate some of the sadness. And of course thinking about the next trip helps as well. My DD9 keeps saying "if we go back to WDW in Sept......" I have to keep reminding her that it's not definite-but I really want to go (depends on the economy though, we may have to skip it this year.:scared1: )

My cure is to plan your next trip, write your trip report, get your pictures printed, and help others on disboards plan their trips so they'll have happy memories like you and your DH do.

Oh yes....we have an 7.5 to 8 hr drive home and the first 3 hours is mostly my DD crying and wanting to go back. I can't help to tear up some times too. :( It usually hits me the minute we walk out of the park on our last day. I hate leaving. But normally I am planning another trip right away. The last year we didnt go at all (lots of home life issues wouldn't let us.) my DD's birthday trip got cancelled because of ME! I Know, right?? soooo awful... I broke my ankle a MONTH before. Ugh.. So we are going in May for mothers day/birthday trip for me. and we will have that sad feeling all over again.

Happy trips everyone!
