Who else can't wait for school to start?

I can't wait for school to start. Our kids start on August 10th so only 2 1/2 weeks left to go. Not that it's been much of a summer with all of the athletic programs going on. But the a/c bills and the food bills are KILLING me!

No because I get to be a SAHM for a while, I get to spend time with and reconnect with my boys, the schedule is just so open, lots of time at the pool, I'm not so tired at night, I cook more.

Yes because I love to start a new year. I like my new students and my new class, the schedule, the rules lesson, the supplies shopping. My kids have been fighting, and they are much nicer to each other when they are busy in the day. I am anxious to see how my kids do in their new schools (preschool and middle school). I will have an excuse not to want to cook, and the house looks as nice in the evening as it did in the morning.

I LOVE SUMMER VACATION!!!!! I feel like we haven't had any. We've been to the pool exactly one time this whole summer. That's a $200 membership down the tubes. We still have 5 more weeks to go, hopefully we can relax before school starts.

I am just the opposite I wake up early, I DIS, I pack snacks and drinks and we are off to the pool. For hours and hours.... EVERY DAY! Weather permitting that is. I love to sit and read. All three of my children are now swimmers, so they go off and I relax with my friends. We are now scouring Lands' End and Hannah Anderson catalogs, trying to find items that will be accepted for school uniforms. That is the closest I have been to thinking about school. I never want the summer to end

My highschool registration/orentation is tomorrow. bleh.

I am but only because we just moved and the kids don't know anyone and they are really getting bored. They are normally pretty self-sufficient when it comes to finding things to do and people to play with so that makes it even more difficult for them. We had a lot of kids from their classes at school in our old neighborhood so finding something to do was never an issue.

Normally I am not ready for school to start until closer to the end of August.

Not me. I'll need to wake earlier, walk/exercise earlier, make sure there's enough juice/water for his lunches, write out numerous checks (lunch/drives/etc.), do extra laundry (son in private school), check homework, check book reports (he gets two a month)....

So, no not waiting for school to begin. I have one more month of sheer pleasure with my son and I want to cherish all of it.

I am so not ready, our summer has only just started!! DH and I are teachers in England and I only finished for the summer last Friday and DH's school breaks up at lunch time today!!
