Who do you use for Grocery Delivery?

Staying in a home in Formosa Gardens later in the year, and I'd like to have the groceries delivered. I believe there are a few services these days, so I'd LOVE to hear your recommendations...thanks!

we use garden grocer ///love them,, love them...how much is your time worth... alot more than the $10 fee...may have went up.. i see some charge a % now.. but gg was great they hold yr groceries on a list on their website so pick a date/. very busy../ then keep adding items... do a search alot of disers use them...

I just checked out the website for this company. The prices seem a little high, closer to the prices we expect here in Canada. If we hopped a taxi to the nearest grocery store would the prices be cheaper? Or would it be the same in the end given the cost of the cab fare?

We have the time on our first non-touring, everyone arriving day. but then again... the pool looks nice.

The other Orlando business that delivers groceries is WeGoShop (http://www.wegoshop.com/location/wgs-location15.htm )

I have never used either service, but for a number of years, both companies have gotten good reviews over on the DIS DVC boards.

If I'm not mistaken, the differences between the two are as follows:

Garden Grocer has a set list of items and prices. You select specified items online, they go buy them, and add a small service charge to their established prices (which apparently include a small markup).

WeGoShop will shop anywhere you want -- including Costco, Super WalMart, and other discount places. You specify what you want, including brands and package sizes if that's important to you, and they go get it. They bring your groceries, with the receipt showing what they actually paid for your stuff, and they add a service charge. Like Garden Grocer, the service charge is small and specified ahead of time.

I would check both and see which fits your needs best.

The other thing to check is to be sure your resort has the capability to accept food items on your behalf if you are not there. The DVC resorts have the ability to store refrigerated items, but check with your resort to be sure they can accommodate that. The grocery services probably know, but I'd double-check with your resort to be sure.

We used Wegoshop. I was pretty happy with the service. What is recommended is that you "book" the service meaning you send a list of what you need 4-6 weeks before....so you really won't know the total price....I booked the service almost last minute (about a week before)..I was told I could make changes/add things..I did...but I don't think she was too thrilled with it...I picked the store Publix and wanted to make adjustments according to the sale flyer. It was nice though not having to worry about going to the grocery store first thing. Also, since we fly southwest and get "free bags"..I packed a large suitcase with non perishables...to lower the cost a bit. Also, you should tip...which adds to the cost.

I'm planning on using them again only because we will be coming in late that night and our first full day I don't want to have to stop and go to a grocery store..I want to be able to be able to just "GO"!
