I am looking to visit DLP in May/June next year and have just seen the newly released prices from the official website - £1,133 for Sequoia Lodge or £933 for Cheyenne (2 adults and an 11 year old for 5 nights).

Does anyone know if they are likely to do under 12 stay and play free for these dates - it only has under 7's at the moment?

Also, do you normally book direct with Disney or do you use another agent? If so which one and are they any good?

Many thanks everyone! :)

if staying onsite on a package i always book with Disney - but not always with a UK site offer. I have a look to see if any other country's offer is better.

For example, for you May/June dates, the UK site hasn't come up with an under-12s free offer - but the French site did this year - its was one night free and under-12s free. So it might be worthwhile waiting to book for quite a while yet (that French offer came out in Feb this year for Spring/early summer dates).

eta - and don't forget to price up one-adult and any free kids versus all your party onsite - as you might consider annual passes for the non-free children/2nd adults.

Thanks - are you "allowed" to book on another country's site? How does it work?

yes, its absolutely no problem to do this, you just leave the country at France (or whichever country you are booking with, don't change it to UK). Your confirmation comes to you by email just the same as if you were booking through the UK site.

You may want to phone your bank before making a booking on another country's website, as its classed as a foreign transaction so it may be blocked by your bank if you don't inform them beforehand.

Great - I'll take a look. Can you get the web sites in English or do I have to rely on my very bad French???? :thumbsup2

if you use google then google translate should work on the other countries websites - but if you're used to the UK version of the site, everything is in the same places on the other countries versions ;).

I always book my hotel or package direct with Disney and my travel with Eurostar. I like the control you have with your own booking and not having to use a TA.

I have to say that my last bookings were with a TA.

The only reason I did this is because we do not get any offers here in Germany.

So I have to use other country sites such as the English or Irish.

But when I do so I have to pay the whole amount and can not pay a deposit and the rest later.

A TA gave me the opportunity to pay a deposit.

If Disney would do the same I would book with them but never had a bad experience with the TA.

Bad situation !

:crazy2:

If you book with Disney over the phone you can pay a deposit and the rest later ...

Not if you book with another country.

I have asked the German hotline and they told me that they can give me the foreign offers but with no deposit.

Only German offers will go with a deposit but there are no German offers !

You need to phone the main number in the park in France, you can book any countries offers with only a deposit.

This wasn't true when I booked last month - you could book any countries offers, but it depends on the country of the offer if you can book with a deposit or not (at least that's what the CM told us).

When we booked for our last October trip, we booked with disneyholidays.co.uk, its run by the walt disney travel company (same address as Disney Store), you can put a deposit and pay the rest later with them automatically, all online. We also got 4 plastic disney luggage tags & a paper guide to DLP, its the little things eh :)

So far have booked with DLP directly, and have also booked a hotel room only (Cheyenne) through Expedia.

Generally I go with whoever is cheaper - when booking directly with DLP they were having a stay 2 nights get 2 nights free offer which made it quite a good price!

How do you book online? WIth the UK site, for Country, it has United Kingdom, and it can't be changed?

Trying to get a 3 night stay in July.

I deleted cookies, and checked a few countries. The UK was the best, and even with no state listed, I did get confirmation. Although the charge isn't on my card yet. I need to call and see.

It's just me and my son, plus we are there during blackouts for the low end AP, which isn't a good sign, crowd wise.

But, at least we'll have early entry every day.
