I just spoke to Member Services to amend an existing reservation. The Cast Member I spoke to has been so helpful. There was only one room available for the room category/ view I wanted, but I did not have enough points to book this without cancelling the old reservation first and there was a good chance that if I did this, I would end up with nothing. He found a way of booking exactly what I wanted without having to borrow any points in doing the transaction in multiple steps. I work in customer service myself and I recognise outstanding customer service if I encounter this. I definitely had outstanding customer service today. I took his name and really would like to write a thank you email. I know that my staff get recognition if a customer writes in to thank them for good customer service. I really want this to happen for this cast member. Does anybody know where I would send my positive feedback to?

I don't know how DVC works it but I understand Disney in general has a very structured incentive system for such compliments. Fortunately I don't think such service is at all uncommon with DVC or Disney in general. Unfortunately, not enough people take the time and effort to recognize those that go a great job. We should all do so more often even if they are just doing their job, if they do it well.

Thanks for that. I will get an email off to them very shortly.

I know that Disney is a cut above the rest, but I still think that good customer service deserves recognition and I agree with you that not enough people make the effort to recognize good customer service. I worked as a customer service agent for a big international airline for just over two years and then was promoted to a supervisor position last June. I am only too aware that people are very quick to write in and complain, but not anywhere near as quick to write in if they received good customer service. I also know that most likely DVC staff are measured on service levels and average handling times. So it is all too easy to say, that there is no availability rather than spend the time to find a solution. The customer is never going to know. Knowing all this, I appreciate the outstanding customer service I received this morning even more.
