Who do I write to at the BWV or DVC

in regards to the dining issues we ran into at the BWV? It isn't a huge complaint, I just feel that if enough suggestions are made they might take them seriously.

What dining issues did you encounter? Was it problems with your kitchen or a specific establishment, or the dining plan? If the problem was with the kitchen, that would be a DVC issue. If it was with the dining plan or restaurants that would be a larger WDW issue.

4) I was disappointed with my lack of food choices. With a 16 month old we couldn't do sit down dining every night. And there were a few nights we would be getting back from MGM or Epcot late and would want to grab something and head to the room as it was my daughters bedtime. During these times our options were the "cash only" kiosk w/hotdogs, chicken sandwiches, and nachos, the bakery with salad and sandwiches or the Spoodles Pizza window. First of all the "cash only" did us no good as we don't travel with cash. We put everything on the card - and 75% of the time they had started to run out of items by 8pm. Not to mention one 18 year old kid working with a line 20 people deep. The pizza was okay - but you can only dine on pizza for so long. And the same is true for the bakery. We could not get to go service from ESPN, Flying Fish, or the Brewhouse. Also I didn't like that with our mugs we had to wait in a long line to get them refilled. I truly missed the food courts that the moderates and other deluxe resorts have.

The problem is not really Disney's IMO - I don't think any of the deluxe resorts really have the food courts that offer the type of choices the moderates and values do and the choices at BW in close proximity to the villas seem to be much greater than at say OKW, VWL or SSR .

Well, if that was the issue, it is NOT a DVC one. DVC villas have kitchens for just that problem you speak of. When we have children with us, we stock the kitchen with "kids" items even if we are doing the dining plan. It is easier and less expensive to do so. It is also the way many timeshares operate. To have ANY food service at a timeshare is a plus that we enjoy at all the DVC/WDW resorts.

Am I wrong or doesn't WLV have a cafeteria style eatery? I know that SSR has a place where you can order sandwiches from the grill and buy grocery type items, but you can do this at BWV at the Bakery and the General Store as well. Besides a Food Court, I don't know what could be offered. And if that really is a priority, then staying at a budget/moderate resort, or traveling there from BWV would be the best bet.

Not sure about BWV, since it's not a favorite place of mine, but SSR, BCV, VWL, and OKW all have small takeout type places available. OKW has less selection than some, but still available if you combine it with the little convenience store. I feel DVC resorts offer FAR more options than most timeshares do. Timeshares are supposed to be a "home" away from home, so most aren't set up for lots of dining out.

None of the deluxes have "great" food courts. Beachclub got more options with the Marketplace, but it still isn't much more than Boardwalk has with the Bakery and Pizza window. VWL has Roaring Forks - not much more variety (we got stuck eating at Roaring Forks too often one trip - trust me, you'd have been no happier). AKL has Mara which is pretty darn good - probably the best. SSR has Artists Palate - which is about the same as the Beachclub Marketplace in selection - probably a little better. All the DVC resorts have a limited selection of groceries.

They seem to be expanding the Deluxe fast food options in remodels - Captain Cooks is no longer a snack bar, Beachclub Marketplace is much better. However, none of them are what is available at mods or values - and I don't think Disney will go that direction. I suspect that BW will eventually get more, but they will need to create a spot for it - and until they have some place to put it, they won't get one. I keep hoping the ESPN rumors are true and a good food court goes in that space.

I would also lie to see the BW get a food court however, I'd rather they get rid of Big River Grille instead of the ESPN. ESPN is part of the Boardwalk atmosphere if you ask me.

If you were leaving Epcot or Disney Studios, why didn't you pick up something there before you headed back to the BW?
