Who do I email to complain?

Rent a car- free parking as a resort guest- not free for valet anymore though.

Then, you have the option of using the car at the peak periods and drive to the park.

No fee to park with your resort dash pass showing.

Right. But to be honest. A distance on Disney Proberty, that would take about 10 minutes by car takes 1,5 hour by bus! Hello?
I mean, a huge area like DTD has no direct connection to the parks... and that is called Disney Transporation System? I can´t unterstand that.
Sure, they save money with that. But for the guests it was really unsatisfied

Unfortunately, Disney had to end the transportation from DTD to the parks several years ago, because dishonest people would park in the parking lots for free and ride the bus.

The merchants complained because there was no parking for people who wanted to shop/eat/experience DTD.

You cannot blame Disney for dishonest people who decided to skirt around the rules; they did what they had to do to help the merchants.

Agreed!

Hey, Hawk - don't hold back, tell us what you really think ;)

OP - too late now, but if you'd taken the simple step of reading The Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World, there's an _excellent_ comparison chart in there: bus vs. private vehicle. It shows the shortest and longest travel times via each method, and explains the possible contributing conditions.

We stayed at POR 12/10-12/17 and also had horrendous experiences with busses. It was so bad that we decided we will not stay on property again (unless bus issues improve drastically). We have stayed at POR 4 times and never had bus issues like this trip. It honestly did put a damper on our overall trip. It was a good trip, but not great. I would much rather stay at an off site condo and have a car...more space for less money and not have the stress of busses. We complained to several staff about the busses. One cast member said that POR seems to have the most complaints in regards to that. Hmm...why? Or first morning 12/11 we were at the bus stop at 6:50am to get to Ak for a 8:15ADR. We waited an hour!! We were 10 minutes late for our ADR. Another night after Wishes the bus stop at MK was jammed packed. We all waited 10 minutes for a bus to pull up, then they had to load a scooter. A second bus pulled up next to it and starter loading. It was full...like unsafe full. The cast member wanted 2 more guests to get on..."room for 2 more standers" he kept saying. Well, the first 5 families in line had strollers and babies/toddlers. No way were we getting on that damn bus when a completely empty one was right there. The driver said he wasn't allowed to leave until 2 more got on. I have NEVER seen a bus with so many people jammed in it. Its unsafe to be that crowded. I could understand if there was plenty of room left but this was ridiculous. Disney saving a penny. Transportaion has gone WAY down hill. We spent so much time on transportation this trip.

Sounds like that's the best thing for you to do. And no, it's not going to change much. The bus service is what it is.

If everyone is either sitting or standing behind the yellow line, and the electronic counter is not showing that there are too many people on board, it's safe. Drivers know how many people can fit on a bus without looking at the counter.

The bus fleet and number of drivers has never been larger, plus they call in outside buses when needed. I don't see where they're saving a penny? Anyway, it does sound that for you, staying off property with a rental car is best. No need to have a bad trip because of transportation. The buses are not for everyone. It's mass transit. It's meant to move large numbers of people from point A to point B, which it does.

Just gor back Saturday. Magical express was chaos, but we did not have a problem with buses. Never waited more than ten minutes for one at the POP or parks. Some excellent drivers (told jokes, sang) some really rude ones that yelled at guests! Will get a car from now on though! Park hopping takes too long.

This trip (Dec 10-18) was more crowded than I anticipated. BUT we were lucky to NOT wait more than 15 min for a bus. I was surprised how often we ended up on Mears bus or other chartered bus at park closing. It was nice to have a seat so often!

I think for ALL the people Disney moves on any given day they overall do an excellent job of it! We have had some long waits along the way, heck in 2005 the bus we were due to climb on rolled away and side swiped the bus next to it. THAT was a long wait!!!! (But we had something to watch.) Stuff happens but 99% of the time Disney does a great job moving me around.

Please contact Disney, maybe there is a glitch or maybe something else odd happened. They cannot improve it if they do not know about it.

amazing....all the varied experiences from so many people in the same weeks......I must have seen some of you-all when I was there last week!:thumbsup2 we went to POR for dinner one night, and I decided right then no way would I want to stay there- the buses were SO crowded, the stop was jam-packed with people waiting- plus it seems like they get on the bus AFTER the POFQ folks, which makes it even more crowded.....
I do believe it matters which resort you stay at......some just seem to have less crowding than others,IMHO.we had great bus service all week,it's like we were vacationing somewhere other than OP and a lot of others here!
