Who Did you vote for?

84 - Mondale
88 - Dukakis
92 - Clinton
96 - Clinton
00 - Gore
04 - Kerry

I was a senior in high school in '80 and would have voted for Anderson if I'd been 18.

This is interesting to see how people vote. What did moderate Republicans or independents like about Clinton in the '90s and why didn't they like Gore in 2000? I know Gore didn't run a great campaign and he still won the popular vote, but I'm curious if he still has a chance in 2008.

No regrets. If someone else ran against Bush in 2004, I may have voted for them, but I'd vote for Bozo the Clown before I'd vote for Lurch, so Bushie it was in 2004.

You did vote for Bozo! :lmao: Sorry, Carla!!

I agree, though, Bush had some sad competition. I went the ABB route, though and thankfully this time it WILL BE ABB!!! :thumbsup2

88 Not old enough to vote

92 Clinton

96 Clinton

2000 Gore

2004 Kerry

Of the four times I voted, I was enthusiastic about Clinton only and voted for Gore and Kerry only as the lesser of two evils.

Clinton
Clinton
Gore
Kerry

I didn't vote the few elections prior (I know, bad) and I'd vote for Clinton and Gore again in a heartbeat.

84 Mondale If I was older enough
88 Dukakis first election
92 Clinton
96 Clinton
00 Gore
04 Kerry

1976 – Jimmy Carter (first time voter..my mothers a Democrat so I am...vote row ‘A’ all the way!)

1980 – Ronald Reagan (did not like Carters handling of the Iran hostage crisis..hey I am thinking on my own..scary)

1984 – Ronald Reagan (economy was flying high , lets take it higher and higher!)

1988 - George H. W. Bush (let’s keep it going with VP Bush..what is a Dukakis anyway?)

1992 – George H. W. Bush (did a great job in Kuwait..stupid!)

1996 – William Clinton (Dole is too ‘soft’ on the issues; need someone who can keep the economy ‘up’!)

2000 – George W. Bush (Al Gore ..Mr. Bore, one snore lower then Mondale)

2004 – George W. Bush (finish the job Mr. President!)

If you are losing it and can’t remember what day of the week it is (I am getting old too).

Here is a interesting site that lists all of the elections.

(Hey Dan don’t worry you’re covered, they even have results from the 1800’s) :teeth:

.

1984-Reagan
1988-Bush
1992-Bush
1996-Dole
2000-Bush
2004-Bush

No regrets.

Me and DH are Green card holders, so it's taxation without representation, which is kind of funny/ironic as we are from UK!! We do joke that we should go throw some Starbucks in the harbor!! We are eligible this year to apply for citizenship, so who knows?

Having said that I would have a hard time picking any of the candidates, but I would probably lean more to the left than the right.

1984-If I had been old enough --- Definitely Reagan
1988-Bush Sr.
1992-Bush Sr.
1996-Dole
2000-Bush
2004-Bush

No regrets.

68 Nixon
72 Nixon
76 Ford
80 Anderson
84 Mondale
88 Dukakis
92 Clinton
96 Clinton
00 Gore
04 Kerry

1992-Perot(what can I say, I was young!)
1996 Dole
2000 Bush
2004 Bush--I was torn, I feel like Bush is a good guy, but not a great President- I WANT to like him as a President more than I actually do like him.
But I voted for who was, IMO, the lesser of two evils. If the Democrats had someone else up besides Kerry, they would have gotten my vote.

2008--I would love it if I could vote for Guiliani..failing that, McCain.

72 Nixon
76 Socialist Workers Party (protest vote-didn't like Ford or Carter)
80 Reagan
84 Dukakis
88 Bush Sr.
82 Bush Sr.
86 Dole
00 Bush Jr
04 Bush Jr.
