I'm starting to have those nightmares where it's the big day and my hair is blah because I never hired anyone to do my hair! So I need some advice...who did you use for your hair and make-up. And...what about the trial??I won't be back in Florida until the wedding, do I do the trial then?
Also - what about your bridesmaids...what did they do?

Need some help to destress please :)

Thanks!

I have heard some great things about Lisa from lisa's magical weddings, she is very popular with Disney Brides. She will come to your room and do your hair/makeup as well as your bm's and anyone else you would like. There are also a few other vendors who will do this. (Serena Nicole etc. I am sure some others can provide more info) I am staying at Coronado Springs Resort, so I am just going to use their salon there and so are my BM's and my mom, groom's mom etc. I also will not be down before the wedding, so I am going to go to my local stylist and have her style my hair how I want it and then take LOTS of pics of how she is doing it and then what the finished product looks like - so I can show the stylist in Florida. HTH and Good luck deciding!! BTW, Lisa's website is www.lisasmagicalweddings.com

Most brides on here use Lisa, I had already booked mine before I came on here with Beaute Speciale I dont think anyone else has used them but they are on the Disney list. Have you got the list from Disney? it gives quite a few different companies to try. I am not having a trial run in Florida I am just going to my local hairdressers to see what I like and as they use Mac cosmetics I had a makeup session at the Mac counter in a department store in the Uk so I had an idea of the products.

Hope this helps

Im using Anna from Makeover Majic - Lisa was unavailable for my date and for a trial.

I had a trial when i was in Florida several weeks ago and she was lovely, i had no idea what i wanted for my hair but she had some great idea's and lots of pics of previous brides to help me choose!

Cheeks605, I'm not trying to hijack your thread but I have a question related to makeup. I would love to book Lisa for my hair, but my face is supersensitive to makeup products. I have found a brand that does not make me break out or itch...

would I be better off just doing hair with Lisa and doing my own make-up?

I have just begun using Bare Minerals, and I absolutely love it. I have had no breakouts and it's really smooth. It feels like I am not wearing make-up.

Cheeks,
Did you know there was a similar thread last week? I thought there was some good info shared in that one. I can't post links, so I just bumped it up for you to check out. It's called "Hair and Make-up".

:cheer2: Happy 4th of July everybody! :cheer2:

I used Lisa Pena for my hair and makeup. If you can not have a trial beforehand, go to your salon and have them do a trial and from there take pictures to share with Lisa so that she knows what you want. It may not be exactly, but it will be close.

Tinkerbellz - Lisa uses Mac if you are very sensitive to makeup. You can ask her how she would feel about using yours, or you can do it yourself.

My whole wedding party had their hair done at the Grand Floridian salon, the ladies who work there are so nice. All the bridesmaids brought pictures of what they wanted and it all came out perfect. I of course had a trial run a few days before. After my trial we took lots of pictures of my hair so it would be the same. They did a wonderful job and the price wasn’t crazy like I originally thought. Plus we didn’t have to leave the hotel. And honestly my favorite part about it was when the wedding party lined up on the stair case to take pictures all the salon ladies came down and wish us well….They are a great bunch

I'm going offsite to Salon Salon in Lake Buena Vista. I have quite a few girls to get done and I had always envisioned going to the salon on my wedding day.

I used Janet Mednick. I really liked her alot. However, the person she brought with her to do hair I did not like. One of my bridesmaids was using this as a trial run for her wedding, and she said that she did not like her hair too slicked back and not too high, and the woman said really snotty "wow you're really picky" I really didn't like that. Janet was pleasant and did a great job however.

You girls are confusing me now :) I was booked in with Janet Mednick and after reading this i am starting to have second thoughts. There are 5 of us altogether and i dont want people telling me i am fussy when it is my wedding day and i am paying them good money!
I just took a look at Salon, Salon as superdiz recommended, it is very reasonable.
Can someone help me!?

Please ...

Janet herself is great. If you are having 5 girls - you should be fine just using Janet. I had 9 total girls hair plus makeup and it was an early day so she had to bring someone else. Just see if she is bringing someone else. If she is doing it on her own, I would definately go with Janet - she was fabulous and a pleasure to work with!

I went to Ivy Trellesses at GF. I think they did a wonderful job!!

Lisa was amazing. I didn't have time for a trial and there were no problems. Everything was perfect! I just brought a picture of what I wanted and she worked her magic! She only does 3 appointments a day, so she books up quickly!

I had Lisa Pena for my Trial, Wedding and MK Shoot.

I had to use the brillo pad and paint thinner to remove the fixative spray and makeup. Just kidding (o; My hair was a solid mass too. Never had to adjust a thing except lipstick.

I couldn't have been happier. She is so much fun, we had a great time and cried after she was done with my MK Shoot hair. She is a doll.

I just booked Lisa and I LOVED talking to her. I think we talked for 1/2 hour on the phone the first time I called. She has an awesome personality and as you can see from other brides she does AMAZING work. Plus i am a huge MAC fanatic and I love that she is too :goodvibes
