Who did you tip and how much?

We're pretty clueless about this, so I would really appreciate it if anyone is willing to lay it out there!

I'm glad I'm not the only one! I really just have no clue, and it's tough to google because I feel like Florida's automatic service charge makes it kind of a unique situation. How much I tip given that is probably going to be different than if I were getting married somewhere that didn't apply, you know?

I'm wondering the same thing! Or if you gave a gift, do you mind sharing about how much the gift was?

I was told that you do not need to tip your wedding planner, but I am planning to definitely buy a gift for ours because she has been over the top amazing :goodvibes We will likely make her up a basket of some Disney stuff and stuff that is special to where we live, like homemade maple syrup, maple sugar candy, Disney cookies or crackers, and maybe a trinket from Epcot or gingerbread from the GF.

Hi everyone;

I never thought about this but im glad that my DH did. We did bring a gift for both Rev. Jack and Tanis (home made jam's that my Uncle makes) We ended up tipping the violinist, limo and we tried to tip the photographer but he kept saying no. We gave each $50.

The biggest tip we gave (apart from to our server in V&A's) was to my hair/makeup stylist. I bought our planner a gift, tipped the limo driver and . . I can't recall who else!

We also tried to tip the gentleman who delivered our floral but he would not accept it, neither would the server at the cake & champagne celebration. Apparently their gratuity is included in the package. I was an Escape bride though so I wouldn't like to say if this applies to Wishes brides.

One regret I do have is that I didn't tip Randy though, he was so fantastic he really did deserve a tip but I just got lost in the day.

I asked my planner about tipping before we went - being from the UK it's not a usual occurance for us unless service is exceptional so I was completely lost. I was told it was all discressionary and nothing is expect and advised to take a look at advise on wedding websites such as the knot.

Carries passporter guide also covers tipping. :thumbsup2

I wish we had thought about this more before the wedding because on the big day we were to much in the moment for it to be a thought.
The only ones we tipped were the hair and makeup people and the hotel cleaning staff.
After the wedding I kept thinking that I should probably get our planner something but the time just slipped by.
I didn't even think of the limo driver and violinist. Now I feel really bad!

As far as Randy and Stan I just thought that they were the owners of their own companies and didn't think that tipping was necessary, although they both did exceptionally well! One thing we did do for them was make sure they were fed well at both the reception and the dessert party!

We tipped the hair and makeup artists and Rev. Jack and gave my planner and her helpers and Misty a gift.

I meant to tip the limo driver, but it was one of the many things I forgot to organise :confused3

I tipped my hair/make-up artist, the violinist and the photographer from DPS (I put cash in envelopes for them). I wish I'd also made an envelope for the CM from the Disney Florist who met us in the lobby of the GF with my bouquet and set up the rose petals at the ceremony site. I sent a thank you note and Sephora g/c to our planner once we got home. I didn't tip our officiant because it is his own business so I figured he was getting the entire fee.

I used the guidelines in the PassPorter book to determine amounts. HTH:goodvibes
