Wow - I was just saying to my DH we may need 2 trees soon one for all our traditional family passed down stuff and one for all our disney stuff.:D

I put up my first Disney tree this year. I had an extra tree that used to go in my classroom, but I'm not teaching this year so it's in my bedroom. I put all our Disney ornaments on it from past trips and from when the kids were little. I don't have a tree topper or skirt yet, but my DH went to Lowe's and got 2 sets of Disney color-changing ornament lights (1 Princess & 1 Mickey & friends). They are neat!

That's what we do. Our main tree is Disney and *nothing* non Disney goes on! ;) We have a tree for our family room that the kids decorate any way they want with all of the *other* stuff. We also have the train, monoral, Spaceship Earth and the three monorail Hotels that go around the tree. We're planning to add to our set in a few weeks.

speaking of Disney decorations....I just got a flyer from Wal-Mart today that has 8 foot inflatable, lighted, outdoor disney christmas decorations for $48.24. They have Tigger pictured dressed as a snowman holding a candy cane....really cute! Just thought I'd share that.... :D

I just ordered cindy's castle for my village. I'm so excited I can't wait to put it up.

I have an artificial tree that only has Disney ornaments on it. Can't wait to buy some more on my next trip. I also have a Stitch christmas stocking from the Disney Store last year. -Stephanie

Hi, our tree topper is Tinkerbelle. I have all kinds of Disney ornaments from Hallmark on the tree. Our tree skirt is Winnie the Pooh and we have a Disney train that goes around the tree. I just started collecting the Dept 56 Disney Christmas Village. Can you tell I love Disney. We are taking our first Christmas trip to Disney in two weeks.
:D :D

Funhouse8- what did you think of the castle? I thought I had all the pieces to the village and then saw the castle but I hymed and hawed because I wasn't sure if I liked it with the other houses.

Sounds like alot of us have that same Mickey tree topper. ;) We don't necessarily have a Disney character tree, but we have an 8 1/2 ft. tree that is decorated almost solely with ornaments from the DTD & MGM Christmas shops, & the Germany pavillion in Epcot. We have a few other Disney ornaments from other places, thrown in there too. :)

yasuern,
We started putting up 2 trees several years ago, because as much as I love my blown glass ornaments, I couldn't store the priceless ornaments that my DS has made for me over the years. I now have one tree dedicated solely to homemade & nostalgic ornaments.

Happy Holidays all! :wave2:

What is the village a few of you are talkin about?? Anybody have pictures?? Lnks?? :teeth:

I have a Mickey Christmas Village (Diner, Toy Shop and Post office) I got it off of eBay a few weeks ago. VERY cute... and I don't think it will be going into the Christmas boxes when the season is over!

 Lots of Disney decorating here too! We bought a small fibreoptic tree that is now our Disney tree. This is what happens when you buy an ornament every trip :teeth:
DD had a great idea......we saw a Winnie the Pooh gingerbread house that you assemble yourself at Zellers. She had the idea to draw and cut out pictures of Mickey etc. and laminate them then use them to decorate a gingerbread house. I was impressed with her frugality, it was her who noticed that this gingerbread house in a box really just had cutouts of Winnie and friends to stand in front of the house.

I have a separate Disney tree. I have Hallmark Disney ornaments, ornaments from Downtown Disney, and others that I have found along the way. I also have two shelves of Christmas Mickeys, Pooh's etc. beside the tree.

I started collecting Disney ornaments about 10 or so years ago at that time DH and I had only a small table top tree..move ahead to just this saturday I bought a 7.5 ft tall tree and am hoping to actually be able for the first time to put all my stuff on the tree. Minnie Angel tree topper, every ornament a ddisney one-no others allowed- Mickey and gang tree skirt, advent calandar, even a Mickey and gang menorah. We celebrate Christian and Jewish holidays in the house. Anyway I can not stop buying Christmas stuff although I'm being more careful to make sure I have every movie represented...We just moved into a new house, DD and I, and although my living room and dining room are "normal" I will have hidden Mickey's in there. The kitchen and bath are MIckey, Disney is in all 3 bedrooms and the family room the walls are lined with the movie posters I've collected over the years, the pins I collected before it became the thing to do, memoriblia from my stint as a CM and everytime I open a Disney catalog there's something else I gotta have....Yes to everyday people it's WAY too Disney but it wouldn't be my house without the mouse....especially at the holidays!!!!:D

IloveWINNIEthePOOH- the village that I am talking about is the one that they sell at the Christmas store in DD. There were 4 pieces-Mickey's house, Goofy's house, chip and dales tree house, and Minnies house. Each piece sells for about $45 and I thought I had the whole set until October when I seen they added a castle to the village. Wish I could post a picture of it but Digital camera is in the shop.

I also have the Mickey Dept 56 piece that belongs with the North Pole series.
