Who carries a purse?

Another purse collector here In fact I'm on my way out to the mall to find a new one as it's been at least a couple of weeks since I bought one. I change them all the time and have some that are pretty small and some that hold much more. Usually I carry a wallet, checkbook, makeup (which now includes the Revlon lip gloss you recommended stinkerbelle, I picked it up yesterday and it's great!! ), keys, notepad and pen, small lotion, and who knows what else - I always find interesting things when I switch to another one. I love purses and can't imagine going anywhere without it. A girl can never have too many purses, shoes, or makeup - that's my motto!

I carry a purse, but often leave it in the car and just take my wallet out of it. I have all of the "normal" stuff in there, plus candy, first aid supplies, and Shout wipes. I have a 5 year old boy....

We call purses "handbags" here!

The only time I don't have one with me as when I go to a theme park.

My handbag is always fairly organised.

Cheque book
Phone
A little makeup
Mirror
Notepad
Pen
Headache tablets

...sometimes a few extras.

I use a purse---where else would I keep all my crap!!! When my son was little, I would just put my wallet, phone, keys, etc in his diaper bag/backpack. Then we graduated to my backpack-type purse. Now I'm pretty much back to my own purse (only for a few more weeks though until I'm back in diaper bag mode!!!) If we go somewhere, like a restaurant or the mall, where I might need diapers or toys to keep DS busy, I put my stuff in HIS backpack, so that I still only have to worry about one bag. So, it just depends on where I'm going.

I carry a purse- and I'm also the type that can't ever figure out how other women DON'T carry a purse.
Mine is not huge- and I don't carry a lot of "extra" stuff around ..... there's one lipstick and one chapstick- but not 17! (LOL teasin' the one that said 17 in her purse) but other than that- it's essentials in mine.
I have a little address/phone # book, cellphone, digi camera even has it's own spot! I have 3 kids... you need that with you or you will forget it at the wrong times! Learned that lesson the hard way. Checkbook, pen, 1-2 bandaids at all times, fingernail clippers, money, credit cards, DL, keys, things like that.

When I go somewhere like WDW or other park- I either take a small purse (with long strap that I can wear across or clipped to my belt or pocket) or fanny pack or small backpack. OR put my purse in the stroller (in the past- that's not going to work this summer- no stroller LOL). I would PREFER not to have to carry a purse- but I can't figure out how I could get away without it. How else would I carry all the stuff that I have to have with me? I definitely would NOT stick things in my pockets. I guess from years of having a purse I'm so NOT into putting stuff in my pockets...only if I have to but certainly not on a regular basis and bulky things like keys in my pockets would drive me bonkers!

Right now I don't carry a purse, just my diaper bag. It is too much trouble to carry both. The essentials that I keep with me are:
wallet
cell phone
checkbook
inhaler
keys

If I have those, I'm good to go.

I just throw money in my pocket and i'm out the door....purses are too much of a hastle, especially since i'm pretty forgetfull

I think we are soul mates. I LOVE purses! They are too cute! I had to WRESTLE myself out of Filene's today without buying a purse (considering I just spent $50 on a mani/pedicure with tip!)

I have some purses that will only hold my ATM card and cell phone and one gloss...other's I can fit a paper back book in along with a plethora of glosses

speaking of which - which color lip gloss did you get? heheh

Mine too!

My favorite type of purse is a very small one with a long strap (thin) so I can wear it across my body and have my hands free. If the purse is too big I can't find anything.

I have TINY versions of everything and actually can carry a lot of stuff in a very small purse. Fold up brush, travel toothbrush, small dental floss, mini lip gloss, money, Visa, atm card, AAA, cell phone. I even have a small sunscreen about the size of a lipstick.

I ALWAYS carry a purse. On vacation, it's a fanny pack. At the minimum, due to allergies, I have to carry kleenex, antihistamines, inhalers, and epi-pens. If I don't have the kids with me I can manage with less, but still need the cell phone so I can be reached in case they have an emergency.

In addition to medications I carry my wallet, a small calendar, tampons, bandaids, a pen, breath spray, and my cell phone. Sometimes I toss in sunscreen and a snack if we're going to be out a long time. I carry a leather "healthy back bag".

I carry a purse. It's a small-medium size. I carry my wallet, keys, a lipstick or two, cell phone, tampons, a million receipts sometimes (I try to clean out once a week or so), and my sunglasses. If I go to an amusement park I either carry a backpack (two small kids = more paraphernilia than one can imagine) or a fanny pack if for some reason I don't have the kids.

I carry a small purse with my phone, hair brush, compact, lipstick, a little bottle of pills and my keys and it has a built in wallet for my money and id. I can't stand huge purses.

O.K. I have the purse but rarely use it..another sign of pure disney anti-princessness. My dh always marvels that I never lose anything and dont use the purse. I only just carry my cc and drivers license in my pocket and a little money. If I have the purse the ds always would probably ask me to put stuff in it for them. Their gum, mints, deodorant etc. No, I dont enjoy a purse. But I will admit to using a purse for our disney vacation. I leave it in the room and never take it to the parks. It did hold the plane tickets, ps list etc. All valuable stuff gets locked up in the safe.

But see, this is not possible for me. I cannot leave the house with only MONEY! I don't even always carry money.. it's either debit card or checks for me. But even if it's just a debit card- I have other needs than just financial when I'm away from the house..... for myself and my children. Not to mention keys too. Do you put those in your pocket too? You can go out with JUST keys and money???

Funny,...I admire quite of a few of my friends purses...but I don't carry one.

I carry (gee, I don't know what to call it...)

It's about the size of a cigarette case. It's a "mini" backpack type thing. It has a key ring at the end, I put cash and my essential cards (debit/insurance/club cards) in there. Also a pix of my kidos and a little something when it's "that time of the month". Yes, it all fits. The little straps in the back I use to hold my cell phone. I wish I could describe it better.

I get compliments on it ALL THE TIME! Mostly asking where I got it. (I can't remember now) Everything I need - and it fits in my hand. Love it. Don't know what I'll do when it wears out. Maybe start my own business making them! Of course, I'd have to learn to sew!

I got the pink afterglow and I love it!

I have just started buying more of the "clutch" style purses which have a very high cuteness factor but can hold very little of what I "need" in there.

Robinrs LOL about the pocketbook! (or pock-a-book as I usually pronounce it). Maybe its a NY thing, cause my cousins from CA laugh at me all the time when I talk about my pock-a-book. I mean I've used the word "purse" too and sometimes I just call it my "bag", but usually pocketbook is what I say and yes I do carry one every day!

i have a small black purse... its all purpose! i carry my compact, and all that girly stuff (w/ my clinique bonus! )i dontlilke to carry a purse, but i do. i have my wallet, and i often find that pens get lost easily inside. my friend is a purse-fiend! she gets crazy if there is dirt on one of her purses and she has a new one like everyday!

Amazing to me...

I HATE carrying purses...I take my money and debit car in my pocket, cell phone and keys too.....I hate having to keep track of pocketbooks and all they do is collect more crap in them than I really need to take anyplace with me.
