This morning I am trying to watch the news. I started out on Headline News, their they are running a story. Turned it to CNN and the same. I thought maybe Fox Business would be ok...no! Again Tiger Woods! I am so OVER his story. There has got to be some other news to report on than him.:sad2:

I don't CARE about Tiger Woods. What's he going to say? "I am a horndog, but a fantastic golfer. Please respect my family's privacy as we try and heal so that my wife will not leave me, take the kids and half my money." :rotfl2: Because that's what it boils down to.

A lot of people apparently. ;) I don't care but then again I am not into golf.

I would imagine that the golfing community is still reeling over this.

Think about it, other golfers can use the negative publicity to one up themselves to gain more sponsership.

There is a lot of money at stake and that it is why it gains so much attention, I think. Plus Tiger is the "Michael Jordan" of golf right now, so anything he does, positive or negative is newsworthy.

Why is he making an announcement anyway? Why does every network have to carry it live? My goodness, you would think it was the President speaking or something.

Seriously, we all know he is a low life cheating, pathetic man, but what I can't figure out is how that justifies the necessity of him having this press conference.

If you are coming back into the golfing scene, then announce it, but why do they have to do the whole press conference and interruption of shows for it?

One of stations this morning talked about the "ongoing debate" as to whether Tiger and his wife should stay together. Who is debating this and why are they doing so? This is between Tiger and his wife, not the news media or the public.

I don't care, it's between him & his wife. Most of the major TV news reports this morning were leading with the Tiger Woods story, I think I only saw one that lead with the Austin plane crash but then that broadcast devolved into Tiger as well.

Yeah, I get it, he's going to speak publicly for the first time since his so-called "car-accident" and yeah, I know he's going to speak at 11am Eastern time and yeah, guess what?

I still don't care. It's almost as if all the major news organizations have turned into The National Enquirer, but these days I have a lot more respect for The Enquirer...at least they don't pretend to be what they're not.

agnes!

I was tired of it after the first week.

Not me. Didn't care about him before he got caught and sure have no time for him now.

:thumbsup2 Spot on!!!
Couldn't have said it better myself!

National Enquirer broke the John Edwards and Tiger Woods news before anyone. They are turning into CNN!

Tiger Woods didn't interest me before his scandal. I can't believe that the broadcast networks will carry his "news" conference.
Guess there's nothing else going on in the world.

It's his first news conference since the Escalade crashed and a bunch of dirt fell out. This, whether you care or not, is NEWS.

I don't care about LV's shin but the news covers it every... single ...day....:surfweb:

I don't care what celebrities do in their private lives. If they are athletes I follow I care only about what they do on the field. If they are a musician I like I care only about what they do on a stage or in the studio. If I enjoy their acting I stop caring the second the camera turns off or the curtain drops.

People that follow the daily comings and goings of celebrities must have very boring lives. Celebrity gossip is just fodder for the weak minded or easily amused.

He could just have his publicist release a statement. He is taking no questions and those attending are handpicked. Not news just spin.

It's really hard to tell the difference nowadays.

He had to make an appearance, his PR people know that some written words didn't work before and will not work now. They're counting on the the time lapse to get him thru to the next level.

I did not care before and I do not care now. I get that he is going through a 12 step program and perhaps he feels he needs to apologize but part of apologizing is accepting that the perople you are apologizing to may have a question or a comment. Now his apology to his wife probably had the discussion but it seems a little selfserving to request a press conference, include the media but then tell them you will not let them talk to you. This makes me think this is more about money than aasking forgiveness. Either way he means nothing to me.

Seriously??
News stations interrupting regular programming for a PR stunt?
Please.

Never cared from the beginning. He cheated on his wife and she found out. Over with, move on. He just has to suffer the consequences for what he did.
