I think the only two characters who are consistent are Goofy and Pluto. When we went last fall, we saw those two plus Snow White, Cinderella, Belle, Minnie, and Chip. I've heard others say that the Fairy Godmother has been there, and one afternoon I passed by the big windows and saw Aurora.
We've been there at least 4 times and have seen the following characters:
Goofy
Pluto
Max
Chip
Dale
Minnie
Princess Aurora
Belle
Snow White
Jasmine
Rafiki
Gepetto
the fox from Pinocchio's
Aladdin
Fairy Godmother
Baloo
And yes they will sign autographs and pose for pictures.
Here's the more interesting follow-up question....do you think they have a schedule of "who" is going to appear, and if so why is it seemingly so random? Or is it a "Joe, you're working Thursday at Goofy's kitchen" and Joe plays Baloo? Or does Joe have a handful of characters he can play based on his size so he picks what he feels like? Or what?!?
Anyone understand the workings of this? Their character scheduling both at the restaurants as well as in the parks is fascinating to me.
ok um this is at disney land hotel right? Do you have to be eatting at the restrant. or if i walk by and see them can we go in just for pics and autograps.
we are staying there in nov-dec.
You would be needing to be eating in the restaurant to get their pictures and autographs. At character meals it is requested that you stay seated and the characters come to you. It would not be fair on those who have paid for the character interaction for people to come from outside and occupy the characters time. Plus the characters prefer for guests not to approach them as it causes crowding if many people come to them at once.
Jadestar, since you're staying at DLH, they usually have a character in the lobby by front desk greeting people around 3pm (check in time). We saw Goofy on our stay there last year.
What time were you there? We went for breakfast on Sunday (8 AM) and saw Goofy..Pluto...Chip..Dale..Jasmine...Alice..Belle..and Burt from Mary Poppins...
We would have LOVED to have seen Mulan..We did see Mulan at the Princess Fantasy Faire..but we had already gone through the line..and didn't feel like waiting another 2 hours to see her..only to have her probably leave again before we got there...We did get to see Pocahontas at PFF..though
