Who can order a CS kids combo meal?

Do our kids need to be in line with us when we CS order meals? I was expecting that just one of us would stand in line with food while DH or I played with the kids somewhere else? Do you need to have "proof" that you're ordering for a child? Is there an age limit? We're not dining plan, if that makes a difference.

We have never had a problem with my DH getting the entire order himself. HTH

Anybody can order a kid's meal at a CS restaraunt. Particularly if you are paying cash (not DDP) the cashiers don't know or care if there are one, two or three kids waiting for food. Sometimes even adults with smaller appetites have been known to order the kid's meal at CS locations for themselves.

We've ordered and eaten kids meals at WDW as adults. I found the tip here on the DIS boards one time. DH doesn't like to waste time eating and doesn't like to spend much on food at WDW. Debby

My dh and I will eat a kids meal ourselves sometimes. Sometimes you just don't need that much food, and/or don't want to spend that much money. It's not a problem.

I often order the kids meal for myself at counterservice restaurants. No issues.

As long as you are not on DDP you can order kid's meals anytime. The (former) Concourse Steakhouse had a child's filet (4oz) and my wife would always order the child meal there with no problem.

I don't see why it would matter if you're on DDP. Ordering a child's meal on DDP when you've paid for an adult meal is pretty much a waste of a credit & money.

We do the regular dining plan and thought about the deluxe plan but realized it was way too much food. We did a few counter service breakfasts. I may take the advice this next trip and order a kids meal breakfast because I am not a big breakfast eater.
