Who can help with my trip to Vancouver?

I'm going to be in Vancouver for 3 days in June before leaving on an Alaskan cruise. I booked the Best Western Chateau Granville because there are 4 of us and I wanted the separate bedroom/living area for sleeping. Is this a good hotel/good location? I do not plan on renting a car, but instead plan on using the SkyTrain/taxis for tranportation. Good idea? Also, what are the absolute 'must-sees' in Vancouver? Any and all help is appreciated!
