Who can check-in

My adult DS is on my brother's reservation for a 2 br at OKW. DB and family will not be arriving at MCO until nearly 9 PM. Can DS do the check-in for them? DH and I have a 1 br reserved and we have a car. We want to do their grocery shopping and get stuff settled in their room since they are arriving so late.
