Alright. Fess up. Who told?????

I shared my best secret. The one that was only between you and me. You know the one. Yes you do. The one about the little terrace next to Rose and Crown to watch Illuminations from. Remember now? Yes you do.

We I just got back. We headed over 2 and 1/2 hours before Illuminations and our secret terrace was packed! Packed! Not a seat to be had.

Obviously you have a big mouth. Because I would never have blabbed.... :rolleyes1

I only told Barbara Walters.

I think this is the funniest thing about these boards everyone so helpful right up to the time the secret is out . Remember were thousands strong so go ahead and tell me more. :rotfl2: :cheer2: :rotfl2:

I found it on WatchIlluminationsfromEnglandbutdon'ttellanyone.com

When we dined at the 50's Prime Time our "momma"....Momma Sue I believe was her name...told us about that very location.

I suggest you vent your frustrations to her as she is the blabber mouth (and I could use a little payback....she MADE me eat my green beans).

It wasn't me, it wasn't me!
when we watched Illuminations, sometime the 1st week of this December, they had the little terrace roped off, I noticed it around 8 pm so don't really know when the rope went up. During the show we noticed about 10 children, perhaps from ages 10 to 13 standing in that area--which was supervised by a CM. There was never a crowd there.
shhh...We watched from the bridge going from the UK to France

Jean

On an additionally funny note: as we walked away, I muttered to my self, "me and my big mouth." And my DH looked at me and said, "what did YOU do? Put it on the internet?" :rolleyes1

Your link doesn't work, 88Keys..
;););)

I would've asked - in a very loud voice - "WHO scheduled a DISMeet, and didn't tell me??" :teeth: :teeth:

Betcha you would have had some laughs! :goodvibes

:sunny:

I saw it on the travel channel special that was on about 2 weeks ago actually (hand to God, and each family tried to claim they were the "ultimate fans"). Fortunately nobody watches the travel channel.

Oh alright it was ME!!! hahahahahahahahahahahaha

Never seen Illuminations, is it worth seeing?

I KNEW IT! We were walking away from the area and i said to my dh, 'I bet you it was Pooh76 68!" and you know what he said? He said, "yeh that heidi never could keep a secret."

Are you kidding me???? NEVER???????? It's fantastic, especially if you can see the Christmas addition!!! Just breathtaking!!!

Hehehe, your dh is right I can't keep a secret. :rolleyes1

Not kidding, we have been to Disney 6 times and have never seen it. My dh does want to make sure to see it in Dec. '06

I bet it was the same person who blabbed about early December.

I second the bridge between UK/France, but shhhhh, it's our little secret, right?

Yikes, now the pressure is on - if you hate it, I'll feel responsible!!!

No kidding, Illuminations is lovely - lights, fire and fireworks, music, etc. - but there is an additional portion that is the best fireworks display I've ever seen at Disney (or anywhere else for that matter). It starts just after the "regular" portion ends. If you see people walking away but feel you haven't had enough of a WOW factor yet, make sure to stay - the Christmas portion begins very soon. It was just breathtaking!!!

Illuminations is awesome! If you don't like crowds and want to splurge a little, call 90 days ahead to book an illuminations specialty cruise. They take you and up to 10 of your best friends (hint) to the edge of the lagoon, right under the bridge from France to England, to experience the show "in your face." The pontoon boat captains are excellent and give you a synopsis of what you are about to see, along with telling a few corny jokes. Well worth the $200.00.

Please, please, please if you are going during Christmas, see Illuminations. You will never forget the Christmas segment at the end - it was my first trip to WDW, saw it my second night and then made sure I was somewhere I could see it for all of the remaining nights, except the night I was at MVMCP. Hint - if you're at POP at the right time, you have an excellent view of the amazing higher level Christmas fireworks with a faint strain of the music from the 4th floor of 50s facing Epcot. The fireworks were so powerful at the end that the booms set off car alarms two nights running in the POP carpark. Happy viewing :sunny:
