Whitewater Snacks

Thank you all for the tips (and photos too!) it'd just be me (Mom) and two daughters 11 and 14. No strollers or bulky bags, we'll be there the week after Easter and expect it to be white busy. I was looking for a quick/quiet/tasty/new place for us to try. We'll be there all week so it'll be one of many stops.

I recently posted a picture of the nachos on page 222 here: https://www.disboards.com/threads/my-disneyland-dining-reviews-with-pictures.1253888/page-222

I wasn't impressed and wouldn't go out of my way to get them, but my daughter likes to get chicken nuggets and fries there. So, since I was there, I tried the nachos.

Thank you for the photos.... I'm no foodie so the cheese sauce won't bother me.... but your pics did convince me that I must try the eggs Benedict from carnation cafe. Thanks!

It's just myself and my two DD'a this next trip; I've been wanting to try cove bar (lobster nachos AND an adult beverage sound like a great way to relax) but when I looked the the menu there didn't seem to be too much that my girls would eat

I know what you mean about not having much for kids.
If they like Uncrustables, we take one of those to the Cove for my son and he's content.

We stay at the grand and we like heading to WWS to pick up some snacks such as bagels...fruit... cereal..milk..waters..etc but in terms of the counter service food it was very "eh" the last time we ate there. They had some sort of grilled chicken sandwich and that was okay but the pizza was DISGUSTING as were the veggie burgers. BLECK. We decided snacks only from now on.. nothing else.

I think WWS used to be one of the best values around the resort, anyone else remember the french dip sandwich they used to serve? It's not the deal it used to be IMO, but it's still a quiet, generally not crowded, yet not too far out of the way spot to grab a quick bite.

That's another thing I like. It's very quiet with a lot of windows. It's a nice place to sit and relax.

The nachos used to be made with both shredded and melted cheese, not sure when they changed it but it's been awhile. They also used to be a lot bigger but I still like them A LOT!

Totally off topic, I have to laugh every time you post. My wife watches Once Upon A Time and for some reason every time you post, I hear your comments in my head as the lady in your avatar. It's silly, but it makes me laugh almost every time. :)

Haha! I wish I sounded (and looked) like her.

We didn't find the pizza gross, just average pizza you would get anywhere that isn't an authentic Italian eatery. The pizza is an individual size and it comes with a salad (it's a good size salad). Kids like the chicken nuggets, hubby has had the burger a few times and said it was fine. There is enough in there to find something to eat (whether it is prepackaged or cooked to order).

If you are looking for great nachos to share, head to Tortilla Joes. The chicken burrito there is delicious. It's a good size burrito, so either hubby eats half of it or we bring it back to the room for later.

Are they homemade chips? If so, I might try that next time.
