How does everyone feel about this? I know several girls have done it, and I like the idea a lot, but I'm just worried it won't look so great in pictures, and really not look so good in black and white pics.. I really need to give in and start a planning journal.. Thanks in advance ladies!

i had the same problem. i wanted him in brown like the gm. but his mother wanted the traditional, so being that that is all she asked for i gave in and i love how it turned out!!

That's what we did - black tuxes, black vest, black (long) tie, white shirt for the groomsman, BM, and FOB; black tux, white vest, white tie, and white shirt for the groom.

I really liked it.

Our MKPS wasn't the greatest - ok, but not the quality it should have been by any means. But it will give you an idea of the look anyway.

As for black and white - we just got our professional photos back, and I haven't had a chance to get those up yet. I think the combo looks good in the BW pictures as well. As soon as I get them up, you can check out our professional pics to see how that looks as well.

How long do you have here? Because I can't guarantee when I'll get our professional photos up! I'm hoping this weekend, but it might take me a couple of weeks.

Oh, one other thing... we got married at 10 a.m., and had a wedding luncheon with all our guests. Our wedding night, since we were on the premium DDP, we went back out to dinner, and decided to wear our wedding clothes - we went to Narcoossee's. After walking all over Disney World in his tux, though (we had 6 hours of photography, and got pictures in several different locations), DH decided he at least wanted a different shirt. He didn't have a different dress white shirt, but he did have a black one, so he wore that. And I can actually say, had I seen how that looked before the wedding, we might have gone with that look for him instead. The black shirt with the black tux and the white vest and white (long) tie looked really, really sharp! Unfortunately, I don't have ANY pictures of him dressed like that.

My DH wore a white vest and tie, and we loved the look...when we went to our hotel that night (we got married at home, and we're doing a Disneymoon, leaving in a week), he had several people tell him how nice his tux looked with the white tie and vest.

Here's a few pics of him in his tux:

I better stop before I get too carried away with the pictures!
