White Plains question...again

Hey all- I asked this question last year,and for the life of me, can't get the search feature to help....we fly from White Plains in a few weeks(love the airport) but am considering a night at a nearby hotel,and getting a shuttle to airport,which would allow us to leave our car for the duration at the hotel, get a shuttle back to hotel when we come home,and then get our car.... any and all suggestions on this is SO appreciated- hotels you may know that will do this,what's close, convenient,and cheapest- who will allow this,etc-

I do not think any of the hotels in the area offer this service as they are not "airport hotels. If you check Marriott and Hilton webs site you will find they both have a few hotels in the area, within 15 minutes form Airport.
I would call the hotels directly before I book as i have never heard of this offer near HPN.
A word of caution as I am sure you know, parking is EXTRREMLY limited at the airport and everyone is advised to be dropped off. Jetblue sent me a email reminder for the flight and stated that parking was very scarce.

Go to the HPN website (White Plains Airport) they list the hotels there, I think they list two and at least one of them say they have a shuttle to the airport. I have never seen a shuttle there, but they do say they have one.

Don't know when you're going, but they are supposed to be building a La Quinta very close to the airport.

We always just get dropped off.

There is a La Quinta Hotel at exit 3 (one exit north of the airport) that may do this. It is in Armonk, NY. Try giving them a call and then post back...

Huh. It must be a different hotel chain that I heard about if there's already a La Quinta that close.

We are flying out of HPN this evening. A while back I called the La Quinta and asked about their Stay & Go package. I was willing to pay for a room and not use it just to park there and was told they have parking at the hotel for $10/day and then use their shuttle to the airport. I'll let you know how it works out. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Does anyone know how far this White Plains airport is from midtown Manhattan, and if there's any light-rail or train service available?

I've heard great things about HPN, and since the three NYC airports are the worst in the nation for flight delays, I'm considering alternatives for my visit to NYC in the spring.

The train would be about 30-40 minutes to midtown. There is a shuttle from the airport to the train.
