Hi all! I've been lurking for awhile now, and now I need your help!!! I am packing for our 8/31 - 9/5 WL trip (woo hoo!!! :cheer2: ), and I'm at a roadblock. My 8 month DD sleeps with a fan on, to create some white noise (it's pretty loud). I don't want to lug a fan with us, but I don't know what else to do, because she has a hard time sleeping in silence.

Any suggestions??? Thanks!!

We use ours everywhere. We found the one that makes noise with real air, rather than electronic sound to be more pleasant for us. I hate electronic noises.

we are taking a small fan, but we are driving too so there is more room for junque! the fan in our room runs all nite every nite, if it is not on we don't sleep. period!

Both my kids sleep with fans on - and so do hubby and I. We drove up to a mini vacation recently and took a fan - it worked out well.
BUT, since we're flying to Disney - I'm hoping the exhaust fan from the bathroom will be loud enough - or the room fan????

Check out www.abbf.com

I have the same problem with my kids, and really me too. I can't sleep when it's too quiet! I also play the same CD for my kids at nap and bed time. I've been playing it for them since before they were born:) Anyway, I am renting a CD player and a floor fan along with some toys. We just don't have the room to pack these things and I think the extra $$ is worth it for a good night's sleep!:thumbsup2

What resort are you staying in? I know most of them have pretty loud AC units. I just turn the AC fan on HIGH (I don't want the darn thing coming on and off all night, I just leave it ON) and the noise is perfect. I'm not sure if the deluxe resorts have the "good" (read kind of noisy) AC units like the mods and values do!

We have a white noise machine we usually take with us on vacation. But we have always driven on vacation so I'll have to see if I can make it fit into our luggage this time around since we are flying. It isn't very large. It is also an alarm clock/radio. It has 6 or 8 sounds on it like waterfall, rain, ocean, rainforest etc. Each of my DD's have one in their room at home and we have it set on rain. I got theirs at Bed Bath and Beyond.

We're staying at WL, and it will be the first time we're staying there. Do you know if they have loud fans on the AC? That would probably be the perfect solution!!

I have one for my DD - I got it in Walmart for $20. Wprks great :thumbsup2 Will be taking on vacation, too!

It has the alarm clock, radio, and white noise. Bonus is that you can hook an Ipod up to it. Timex makes it.

I have mine set to "ocean". She sleeps like a baby. :goodvibes

We stayed at the WL with our then-11 month old, and we had the same issue. I asked Mousekeeping for a fan, and they let us borrow one for our stay. :thumbsup2
