Whispering Canyon

1) They do ketchup at both breakfast and dinner, but not at lunch.
2) The all you can eat skillet is meant to be shared, but you can tell them how many people in your party will be sharing it if some people want to order something else.
3) We had MT Wallet as our server twice this past week - she is a hoot! Wouldn't stop picking on poor DH - he secretly loved it! This is a really fun place to eat, the kids look forward to it on every trip.

Delicious!! I had the skillet and it was fantastic! So much food but every bit of it was delicious. I also had the chocolate cake for dessert. Yum! The atmostphere is so much fun. It was definitely the best meal of our trip!!

We love WC!!!! Here are some pics:

And this is my dad, whom Brittany named "Chief Big Wallet" since he was paying for the very large wedding group! It's a blast!

We absolutely love WCC! My DS loves asking for ketchup and crayons.

DS after requesting ketchup.

A family near us whose father choose to "steal" ketchup instead of asking for it (they really had a great time with their server!!)

Over all, its a great experience even if you just watch the action at the surrounding tables!!

Also, while we were there, a child lost a tooth. One of the CM's announced to everyone in the restaurant that the Tooth Fairy did not have rights to come on to Disney property. Instead, Tinkerbell performed those duties and she paid $20 per tooth lost while at WDW. DS 6 spent the rest of the trip furiously working his teeth to see if he could lose one. He wanted the $20 from Tinkerbell!!

This is our favorite restaurant at Disney. We'll be eating there next Friday night.

Yes, the ketchup "thing" is pretty funny (my daughter still stands on her chair at home and yells, "KETCHUP"), but don't forget...

1. Don't ask for a Coke. You'll be sorry.

2. Watch out if you want a soda refill. Last year they brought out a trough of soda, probably five gallons or so with half a dozen straws. My 7 year old daughter's jaw almost hit the floor.

3. The corn bread is amazing.

Enjoy yourself. This is one restaurant you don't want to miss.

Is the "all you can eat skillet" really worth 21.99 per person at dinner?

Yes! The ribs are amazing! Don't forget your bottomless shake to go with it... :drinking1

Thanks for all of the stories form WCC. We are planning to go in October and reading the posts, I can't wait. I've been rolling at some of the stuff that happens!!

We are staying at the WL for 8 nights.. and I was only able to fit the WCC in for a breakfast. I was thinking maybe I wouldn't get the "full" experience that early in the morning (8am ADR)... should I cancel the breakfast and reschedule for lunch or dinner.. or will do you have just as good of a time at breakfast?

This is our favorite place to have breakfast in all of WDW. And I think we have had breakfast at all of the sitdown places at this point. We like to go just after it opens in the AM. The place is nice and quiet and peaceful compared to later, but the waitstaff still have fun with you it's just a little more low key.

We love WCC - lots of fun. We've eaten breakfast and lunch there, and in July it was not very crowded at all for lunch, but still lots of fun, just not loud, but still the same hi-jinks as everyone has mentioned above. They also did an animal call contest and if you got up and did an animal noise into the microphone in front of the whole restaurant you got a Magical Moment Certificate presented to you. It was hilarious! Have fun :)

We're another family that loves this place. It's fun for the kids and the food is great! Cannot go wrong here - have FUN!!

Our good times were at breakfast. Staying there and walking through the lobby in the morning, I think you will find breakfast to just as much fun as any other time of day.

Really? This skillet is meant to be shared? And it's 21.99 per person, right?

Thanks for answering question about ketchup :)

It's a "shared" skillet because it's served "family style" and it fits the theme of the restaurant. Obviously, you could order serperate skillets and it wouldn't matter.

Aha.
I see ::yes::

Thanks :)

Evern though you are sharing you will still have to pay the per person price. I hope that helps.

Correct. Sorry if I wasn't clear on that point. That being said, there's more to their menu than skillets. One can order the skillet and another can order a steak, etc... Since the steak isn't "all you can eat" you better not be caught sharing the all-you-can eat person's food ... you've seen the pictures of the jailbirds above!!! :teeth:

Thanks for the info. We will be trying to get in during our April trip.

Thinking about it as a surprise if we go to WDW near my husband's 50th. Would it be as much fun at lunch?
