After reading other threads I have booked Whispering Canyon for the first time but as far as the kids know its just another restaurants. I read about asking for ketchup and wearing t-shirts from non-disney parks but what else should we do to make this a really fun experience for them.

My four year old daughter loved riding the stick horses around the restaurant. They do it at the top of every hour. It's funny watching every kid in the place running around in circles.

I just booked for Whispering Canyon for the first time too for our June trip! I'm not telling anyone else in our party about the things that happen. It sounds like a fun place. I've also heard that if you have someone who goes through their drink very quickly (like my DH does!) that they may bring you a HUGE glass (pitcher like thing) out with straws for you to drink out of. I am hoping that happens to my DH! He will probably actually like it since he hates his tea glass being empty!

My son accidently dropped his fork, when we asked for a new one they brought out a fork about 2 1/2 to 3 feet tall. I've also been there when someone asked for a non-Coke product. The serving staff made a big deal about it.

Also, try asking for a few more napkins and straws...

Have a great time!

We just ate there for my son's bday lunch, and when our waiter "Rodeo Ricky" brought out the dessert for ds, he had chocolate all over his face and he told ds, "I tried your dessert and it was really good -- I hope you don't mind!" DS thought it was hysterical.

They made hats for all of us out of the napkins, and the guy at the next table got loudly reprimanded for ordering a Pepsi "He said the P-word!!! We don't USE that language around here!"

They didn't do the horse thing, even though we were there close to 2 hours. There were only about 4 parties in there, so maybe they only do it when it's busy?

Have fun -- the food was really good in addition to the silly antics. Plus it was great to get away from the heat and noise of MK for a couple of hours.

Usually, if you ask for a drink refill, you'll get the super-sized drink. My dh's lemonade was in a gallon-size jar!!

If you don't want to ask for ketchup, take some off of an empty table nearby, but make sure that a CM see's.

If there are children in your party, ask for crayons. If there are crayons already on the table, ask for a color that is not present on your table.

Do they do all this fun stuff at lunch or just dinner?

Ask for BJ as your waiter - he was a total HOOT when we were there in Feb.

Can someone please share what happens when you ask for ketchup?

If you ask for ketchup, the cm's will tell everyone that you need ketchup, and then everyone will bring you ketchup.

If you dare to steal ketchup and are caught doing it, then you have to spend time in ketchup jail.

WC has always been a fun place to eat. I can't say enough about it.

They did nothing like that when we were there last year. DH did get a giant coke and DD did the stick pony parade but that was it. The only joke the waiter made was goofy was cooking (three mistakes with our order!) and we waited 30 minutes for our food. It was late and not crowded at all.
