Whispering Canyon?

A few more fun tips...
Ask for a BIG OLE GLASS OF WATER...
Ask fro crayons if you have kids...

Just be willing to go with the flow and join in with all the fun stuff.

We had a great time when we went in February. We didnt have too many crazy antics from our server (other than a huge glass of water and throwing straws at us) but some random people, not totally sure they were actually servers, did a few things to us. One guy brought some weird chef statue and set it next to my husband. Some other guy also put a corn hat on my husband. The food was good as well. Here is a pic of my DH in the corn hat:

This was one of the restaurants my guys wanted to try this trip so we now have a reservation for August. Thanks for the tip to request seating in the main dining area!! I hope we hit this place on a good night!!!

Good thing it wasn't a Chip n Dale character meal!:squirrel: (Yes, I know it's a suirrel, not a chipmunk!);)

I think like many places it is as much fun as you want it to be. If you relax and join in the fun you can have a great time at WCC. Our 2 DD loved the activities and we got into the fun as well.

PS the food ain't bad either

It is as fun as you want it to be.

Do be warned that the antics aren't just limited to the kids. Our waitress made my then-20-year-old brother participate in the pony race. It was quite a sight-- my 5'11" brother racing all these tiny toddlers around the room! He came in last ;) but still won a wooden nickel!

We weren't terribly impressed with the food, though. We had the skillet and it was very dry and flavorless.

We have been there three times now...the 2ed time we were seated in the area you are referring too...WE HATED IT! I complained as we left how it was totally excluded from the events in the main dinning room. When we went back the 3rd time I told the CM behind the desk when we checked in that we wanted in the main dinning room that we were not interested in the other areas. I felt kinda rude by doing this but she was great and said...I dont blame you! So if you do ever go...MAIN DINNING ROOM. The endless milkshake is YUMMMMMMMY!!! My DH was very disappointed the steak come off the menu...

Thanks so much for this hint!:thumbsup2

We had dinner in WCC august 08 with 12 people. My 8 year old got the LARGE water and we had straws thrown at the table. The kids loved the ketchup routine. My parents, who were celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary, were made to re-enact their wedding kiss in front of the entire restaurant. The kids also did the stick-race. The best part was the food! We had 4 vegetarians in our party and we were thrilled with the meal!

We went in October 2008 and had a great time. I had to "prepare" my husband because he would've probably "blown up" if they just threw something at him...doesn have much of a sense of humor..:confused3 :rotfl:

But the three of us had a great time!!! They actually threw straws, napkins and hubby actually had a good time. We passed the ketchup and sugar, stick pony races as well; DS had a blast running around doing that. He was especially excited when they sang happy birthday to him.

We have a breakfast ADR one morning and a dinner ADR the night before so I think we will get plenty of it :yay:

The two times I went were good experiences. The first time the food was out of this world the staff was very friendly. The second time the food was over cooked and dry. So I sent it back and when it came out, it was perfect. Disney bent over backward to make things right. So yes it was a good experience both times.

We went in June 07...the kids loved the activities but our server was NOT FUN AT ALL. We tried all the "tricks", asking for ketchup, straws, etc...nada and on top of that she didn't bring us any refills.

Another server who was not responsible for our section saw us running low on the drinks and the food in the skillet brought us our refills. So WCC is not on our list of "must do's" this year. :sad2:
