Whispering Canyon?

DS loved all the kids activities. Our waitress wasnt all that fun but some of the ones around us were really funny.

MinnieNurse--Do you by chance work in the nursery? Great name!:)
I have read other (old) posts about some realyy fun servers, wonder if I can "request"...We want to be there for the fun too!:dance3:
Thanks!
Denise

We had a BLAST at WCC.....We went in November 06 and my kids who were
2, 3, and 4 are STILL talking about it!!!! They have these horse races for the kids, where they ride little wooden ponies around the restaurant and all the parents twirl their napkins and say YEEEEEHAAAAAAAWWW!!!!! The gave each of my kiddies a little certificate saying they had rode the Pony Express!!! We are going back next week and my kids are thrilled!!!! Don't forget to ask your server for ketchup!!!!!!:rotfl:

I was just there last Thursday and I Loved It. It was so much fun!
Don't ask for Ketchup!!

I think you can't go there expecting too much. Our first time there YEARS ago we saw nothing at dinner. No activities, no fun antics, zippo.

This time I'm hoping and praying :worship: that with the kids in tow, something fun will happen - anything! :rotfl: We'll be there for lunch, I don't know if that makes a difference????:confused3

I am a NICU nurse (love my babies):lovestruc :cloud9:

If you want to join in all the fun make sure you request a table in the main dining room. We were there last year in April and were not given a choice. They sat us at a semi private table that was walled off by 3 sides. My kids missed out on all the activites. They kept getting up to see what was going on in the main room. I was so mad that we were not told or given a choice. Our server was Rick and he was nice but QUIET and didn't do anything fun.
We had grandparents with us so maybe they thought we wanted a quiet place?? Who knows??? But at least the food was pretty good.

Thanks for all the helpful info!
I will definitely ask when I make the ADR for the main dining room!:thumbsup2
I'll ask again when we check in at WCC, hopefully you all have good upcoming dining experiences! It's so funny when a meal becomes a highlight of WDW! DS2 (@ the time) was very impressed when Prince Charming showed him the propper(sp?) way to bow!

Denise(NICU RN too!):)

We had the same experience with two kids DS 9 and DD 16. They were so disappointed. :confused3

We have been there three times now...the 2ed time we were seated in the area you are referring too...WE HATED IT! I complained as we left how it was totally excluded from the events in the main dinning room. When we went back the 3rd time I told the CM behind the desk when we checked in that we wanted in the main dinning room that we were not interested in the other areas. I felt kinda rude by doing this but she was great and said...I dont blame you! So if you do ever go...MAIN DINNING ROOM. The endless milkshake is YUMMMMMMMY!!! My DH was very disappointed the steak come off the menu...

Yep! But that also depends on the server, as ours never came back to offer our refill... :confused3

I don't see WCC on your Sept dining plans... I can see why!

Can I offer you a :drinking1

Thankyou for the tips to make our experience better, we appreciate it!

It depends on the server. My kids don't like the place at all, so it's off our list. We've had 3 dinners there, all in the main dining room.

How fun is WC?:dance3: )

We had an AWEFUL experience!
We had a reservation for 9:25pm.
They seated us 10:15ish!
They sat another table beside us approx. 10min after we sat down. The server took the other tables order before us!

My 8 year old fell asleep at the table as the food was coming out at 10:45.
He didn't eat!
We ordered the all you can eat platters...we obviously got the scraps and the end of the night food! Took our dessert back with us!

Server was no where to be found to replenish our drinks! But he was sure around to grab the folder to see how much tip we left for him!

Entertainment- it was cute , they made a bunch of boys sing happy Birthday to a girl! And Don't ask for Ketchup...lol

This is the only restaurant from our last trip that was requested as a must do on our upcoming trip. We didn't have any over the top antics, but we still had fun!! The girls were getting too old to do the pony ride, but they did it anyway. That would be great fun for little ones. The best time they had was getting all of the ketchup bottles!! THey thought that was hilarious.:rotfl: Then the couple they had passed theirs onto didn't really want to play, so when it was his turn to pass the bottles onto someone else the girls went and did the job. We really enjoyed the food too. I do remember another waiter doing back flips at his tables, so even though he wasn't our waiter we enjoyed watching him. It was loads of fun!!

And you're welcome for the tips - anything I can do to help you have a more magical experience while you're there! ;)

My MIL asked for sweet n low not thinking what might happen. The waiter got on the microphone and asked everyone in the restaurant to bring their's to our table. We had a pile of sweet n low in front of her.

My "future" tumble monkeys would love that-a waiter who flips! They would be joining him!:yay: (need a smilie who does flips!)
