Whispering Canyon walk up, midday?

Is this doable? We have a split stay coming up, and just one day at WL, and I'd like to eat lunch at Whispering Canyon on arrival day, but hesitate to make an ADR. I can see now that it's wide open for the day (this coming Monday), so I don't anticipate a walk-up being a problem.

make the ADR on the app when you land. you should be able to get something but won't have to worry about any weird walkup rules.

We just stayed at WL the last week of August and walked up successfully 3 times - 2 late breakfasts and 1 lunch (party of 2). If it makes you nervous, do as IrishNYC suggested and look on the app when you land if you want an ADR. Most people are, most likely, in the parks mid-day, so WCC didn't seem to be very crowded for late breakfast/lunch.

We had lunch there a couple of weeks ago and there were only 3 other tables occupied in the entire place. I doubt walkup will be an issue. Dinner is definitely a different story.
