Whispering Canyon VS Hoop De Doo

We have never tried wc, curious what everyone here thinks. Our other choice is HDR, which we love and have been to often!

Totally different experiences IMO. Whispering Canyon is more like a regular sit down restaurant with some fun elements, HDDR is a full interactive floor show. If you're burnt out on HDDR then WC would be a nice change, but if you're looking for that dinner/entertainment value you won't really get that at WC.

We were so-so on Whispering Canyon but we went during that small time they were discouraging the staff from the antics. The food was excellent. I just like Hoop De Do.

We really like WCC. We prefer breakfast over the other meals, however. I would try it if you haven't been!

At Whispering Canyon I like the lunch menu best.

The shenanigans at Whispering Canyon is somewhat dependent on luck. When I was there the ketchup thing was the only shenanigans going on. Look at the menu and skip it if you wouldn’t like the food, because you don’t really know how quiet or loud it will be.

My wife was trying to convince me that we've been to HDDR too many times. She said we should take a break so we can enjoy it even more the next time. Somehow it crept back into our schedule.
The thing is, HDDR, to me, captures the WDW experience that keeps bringing me back. I hate to sound dramatic, but with the changes WDW is making, I am not sure how many more times I will be back. So, I want to see it while I can.

I was very disappointed with WC, with both the food and the 'inter-activeness' of it. Maybe it's because we were seated sort of on the outside, but I was not very impressed. Do not plan to go there again.

We were really disappointed with our experience at WC-so I'd stick with HDDR.

I also have my eye on WC, but I hesitate dining there alone. I have been to similar restaurants like Liberty Tree Tavern and Biergarten by myself, but this one seems like I would enjoy it more with at least one other person. Hopefully I’m wrong?

Been to HDDR a few weeks ago with a friend, and it was great. I would now go there solo if I wanted to, but I still prefer sharing with another person.
