Whispering Canyon vs. HDDR

No comparison at all. If you can only do 1, and if cost/credits are not the barrier, then do HDDR.

HDDR is a complete show and includes food and alcoholic beverages. Dancing, singing, and a story line. WCC is a place to eat dinner where the servers and the guests tend to be boisterous. I think the food at HDDR is better than the skillet at WCC, which would be the closest comparison.

WCC does also have a menu and my impression was that it was average at best. We last ate there a year ago. DD (adult) had the penne pasta and I had the trout. Trout seemed OK but I only got part; DD disliked her pasta so much that we traded. The pasta was edible but absolutely nothing special. There are too many other good restaurants; I don't plan to return to WCC for quite some time.

Quin has pretty much gotten our reaction. WC is really about average food which from which they distract you with antics by the server. HDDR is really about average food from which they distract you by a really good show.

I agree, there really is no comparison. WCC is a meal with maybe a bit of a show. HDDR is a show that happens to be accompanied by a meal. If it's the entertainment you are after, go with HDDR.

We have never done HDDR, but having eaten at WCC, I would pick any restaurant (except Hollywood & Vine) over the WCC -- bad food and bad service.

Whispering canyoni s very hit and miss, not really because of time but because of the server you get, some are great and some just can't be bothered which is a shame.
The food at HDDR isn't the best, especially for the price but it was good fun, and we made the most of the beer!!!
I would say for a more adult or older teen night go for HDDR, if you have younger kids with you go for Whispering canyon and read up on a few ideas to "engage" your server. try allears etc.

My vote is HDDR!

The food is better and the show is great.

We went to WC in May and was disappointed by the food. The antics were okay but it's not a show. WC is alittle more fun than a regular restaurant, but in my opinion the food is below average (for a Disney restuarant) so would skip WC and go for HDDR.

DS5 & DD10 both really enjoyed the HDDR- especially twirling napkins & playing the washboard with a spoon. I would think that younger kids would enjoy it more than teens. (Do teens enjoy anything? )

my teens and toddler all enjoyed HDDR!! A LOT!!! my teens would be crushed if we didn't go again, and my 3yo still sings the song and it's been a year since he was there!! really, HDDR appeals to ALL AGES... literally!!! my 89 yo mom loved it as much as my 2.5yo son!!!
