Whispering Canyon Using Resort Transportation To/From CR/BLT?

Headed to our first DVC trip to BLT in last September...

That said, I'm of course looking at dining options. This will be our first time on property without a car. I'm trying to look into WCC for a dinner, but I'm not sure of the logistics of going to/from WL. I'm figuring worst case there's the water launch at the MK we can use.

1. I think I may have seen that there is a direct WL<->CR boat. Is this still the case?
2. What is the latest boats run?
3. Do either the WL<->MK or WL<->CR boats continue to operate after the MK is closed for the night? The MK closes at 7:00 most nights we're there for MNSSHP.

Worst case scenario is taxicab. Probably about $10 each way.

I read somewhere that the boats will run up to 60 minutes after the MK closes.

It depends on weather conditions too. They do reserve the option to stop running boats due to the weather. With that being said, I think they start running in the morning and run until close. There is a direct boat from CR to WL and it's one of the smaller, open boat options. I checked WDWinfo.com and it said boats start running 30 minutes before park opening and run 60 minutes after park closing.

Hmm. I wonder what "closing" is in this case. Publically, MK closes at 7, but then there's MNSSHP. Wonder if it's worth the risk.

When you figure in closing time, you count it being open during MNSSHP also. So if the party is not over until 11:00 then transportation will continue until 12:00 or so (even if MK officially closes at 7:00, they still provide transportation for the extra events). There is a direct boat from CR to WL that takes about 8 minutes. This would be an easy reservation to get to and from if staying at BLT.

There is a boat from the Contemporary to the Wilderness Lodge which operates everyday from 6:45 AM - 11:30 PM.

There is a boat from the Contemporary to the Wilderness Lodge which operates everyday from 6:45 AM - 11:30 PM.

The boat travels between CR>FW>WL>CR in the morning, after 3pm the route reverses, CR>WL>FW>CR, so getting to WL for dinner will be direct, getting home will have a stop at FW, but is a nice relaxing trip.

The hours of operation for this route are not dependent on park hours.
