Dumb question but want to see if you all think this will fly.

My wife and I would be ordering the all you can eat skillet. My DD's 4 and 2 will be with us. I know the 2 yo is free so she could have probably all of one rib off of the skillet. Do I probably need to buy a kids meal for my 4 yo even if she to will probably only have about 2 bites of whatever she eats? No big deal either way I guess just wanted to know your thoughts. Also If my wife wants something other than the skillet is that a problem or does everyone at the table have to order it?

Ordering the skillet is no different from ordering an all-you-can-eat buffet. If they allowed sharing, then what would stop a family of 5 from ordering one skillet and all eating until they were stuffed? No, you can't share the skillet. Unlike most other restaurants who might just look the other way if you tried it, WCC will actually publicly humiliate you if they see you doing it...they'll let the entire restaurant know about it. :rotfl2:

Not everyone in the party needs to order the skillet. You can each order any item you'd like.

Your wife can order something else.

You'll need to either pay for the skillet for the 4 y.o., or buy a kids meal.

You can buy a kid's meal (hamburger, chicken strips, etc. ) for the 4 year old if that is a better choice than the skillet.

They are very strict about not sharing the skillet--if your wife orders something else, she won't want to eat one crumb off the skillet unless she is into public humiliation.

If one of you orders a regular meal, you can share that with the 4 year old.

LOL! I would never consider food sharing, but the fact that they would humiliate you just cracks me up. This sounds like my kind of place!

I am pretty sure that the skillet is listed on the kids menu also. I think the price is $8 or $9.

Of all the places at WDW, that's one of the two where humiliating guests is part of the show. :rotfl:

We have seen people be called out for sharing in the past and we would never do that. I would try to find something that she liked and order it for her.

I can't say I agree. Jan '05 I took my elder son and GD to Whispering Canyon and had a blast. Our waitress was wonderful and had a great time embarassing my son (yelling at us that she'd get to us when she got through playing with the kids, calling him coke boy and bringing him a HUGE jar of coke when he asked for a soda refill, yelling at him 'what do you think I am a waitress', tried to get him to pick up a young lady at the next table, getting our table covered in catsup bottles, making us do the hokey pokey, etc). I gave my son no warning beforehand what the restaraunt was about, so he appeared terrified through most of the meal wondering what that waitress would do to him next (even though he was laughing throughout).

I was the only one who ordered the all you can eat skillet. When it came, my 8 y/o GD (who LOVES corn) saw the corn on the cob, laughed, and teasingly grabbed it. Afraid the waitress would embarass her the way she was doing my son, I immediately told her no and grabbed it back. However I was too late and the waitress saw it. She came over and asked my GD if she liked corn. My son and I both cringed wondering what she was going to do. Surprisingly all she did was kiss my GD on top of the head, walked silently back to the kitchen and brought my GD out a saucer with three ears of corn on it to go with her hot dog, and winked at her. (She didn't charge us for them either, by the way.) She was great.

When we were planning my Sept trip with my younger son and D-I-L my GD called me, just to tell me to be sure and take her aunt and uncle to the restaraunt with the 'crazy' waitress.

I love little special stories like that. CMs do special things like that for folks on an occasional, not systematic, basis, though. Ask! You can never be sure how much pixie dust will come your way.

That is really nice! My DD would be mortified if they made a seen if she grabbed my corn. It's good to know that your waitress had the sense not to embaress your GD and was so nice to bring out extra corn for her.
