Whispering CAnyon Review

Can someone give me an idea of the prices? When do they have the buffet?
I would love to take my DH,DS7 & DD5 there with my parents, would grandparents (age 70+) enjoy it too?

Thanks for any help!

I assume this is the one in the Wilderness Lodge right?

There isn't a buffet at all. They have an all you can eat skillet - meaning all the food comes plated to you in a skillet and you can order more when you'd like - as part of the regular menu.

The menu is posted here at allearsnet: http://www.allearsnet.com/menu/menu_wc.htm This is dinner but lunch and breakfast are posted as well.

We also loved the WCC when we were there last year. Our 5 yr old son still wants everyone in the room to bring crayons to the table when we go to any restaurant. My wife and son were both impressed by the never ending milkshakes. We will be stay at WL again this year and will be enjoying WCC at least once or twice again this year.

When we (see below) are in WDW, My sister (BekkiZ) has already planned a meal for us here. Im very excited, just a couple of quick questions...
What exactly is the big deal? How much fun will it be for me, 21, or my cousin Tyler who is 18...
Ive heard in order to get the FULL experiance, there are a list of questions tha should be asked, what are those?
And, is it true the milkshakes are all you can drink?

Thanks so much!

Yes, the milkshakes are still "all you care to drink". If you go to http://allearsnet.com/menu/menu_wc.htm you can see the menu and prices as of 1-05-2005. At the bottom of the page you will find some suggestions of things to ask and do to "enhance" your WCC experience. I think it can be a very entertaining experience for anyone at any age. The CM's give everybody the "treatment" so its not just for kids or families with kids, Hope you have fun!!

I'm SO SO SO happy! I just made a ps for July 10th! Can't wait to get there! :hourglass

This is at WL, right? So is the boat the best way to get to WL? Can you walk from MK ? Or even take a bus?
Where is the WC located in WL? What floor?

WCC takes PSs more than 90 days out?! I thought all the "regular" restaurants only took PSs 90 days in advance (i.e., NOT V&A or the dinner shows). Are there other restaurants that do too? I used the PS calculator planning our last trip and I really thought that 90 days was the general rule. Anyone have any info on a change in policy or which non-dinner shows restaurants can be booked further than 90 days out? Thanks so much!

WC is the LOUD open restaurant to your left as you walk into the WL lobby. Very difficult to miss! You cannot walk to WL from MK but you can take the scenic boat from the MK launch directly to WL. Alternately, get to the TTC by monorail or ferry and take a bus to WL from there. If you are looking to burn some extra calories in preparation for the WC milkshakes, you can walk from the MK to CR and take the smaller blue boats to WL. Take your pick!

were staying poly concierge, so I sent it to them. Sorry for any confusion, I've had a confusing day!

We dined there twice on our trip last week and had a great time. The waitstaff is very, very entertaining. Here are some of the antics we saw: A woman at the table must have asked for water mor than once, so the wiater came out with an enormous jug of water and a long stray, saying to her "this should satisfy you". Then at breakfast one day they did the same thing only this time with a whole carton of orange juice! The table next to us had at least 8 people at it and when their bill came out the waiter had about 6 feet of receipt saying, "boy you guys ate A LOT. Hope you credit card has enough room on it, this is Disney you know". Our waitress made the headdress for DH (boy that was funny!). One waiter was checking out all the lady's engagement rings, he gets to mine, eyes it up and looks at DH & says "nice job". Another poster mentioned about having his birthday dessert eaten by the waiter - we had that too - it was one of the funniest things I've ever seen.

We had great experiences there!! Would go again in a heartbeat. They "play" with you, but never made us feel uncomfortable and backed off from people if they didn't want to get into that kind of stuff.

Very fun!

No, go ahead and try. We made ours last June at the front desk the day before we wanted to eat there. We got the time we wanted, too, so it must not be too crowded.

Aha, that explains it! Lucky you, have a great time! We're hoping to stay Poly CL at our trip in December.

I had a great time when I was there for lunch. No Ketchup antics as there was a bottle on every table but I had a lot of straws thrown at me when I asked for one. Also the table next to us was staring at us when this happened and our waiter told them to turn around and start paying attention to the kids and be parents ;)

Also we saw other tables get picked on and it was really funny.

I had a blanket put around me while the waiter yelled REALLY LOUD for someone to take me upstairs and dress me properly because I was cold. I had a short sleeve shirt on.

I had a good time.
