We are a family of five. We wanted to try something new this trip. Our kids are 17, 14 and 11. Which would you choose? Whispering Canyon or O'Hana?

I wish I knew, we are wondering the same thing. I think we are going to do O'Hana though.

Whispering Canyon for us. I have to admit, none of us enjoyed Ohana.

We've been to both restaurants, two times each, and I'd have to go with Whispering Canyon. Both places have activities for the kids, and as much food as you can eat, but I think WC has a better atmosphere, and it's usually more fun. Either way, though, I don't think you can make a bad choice!

Tough call. We ate at both last month. I think I will have to say Whispering Canyon. The food was a little better. Ohana's was good, but I found their meat to be tough and dry.

wcc, if for no other reason than you can get what you want as a plated meal or all you can eat. Ohana is expensive and we got lousy service and dried out meat. Wcc we got good service and great pork chops, we will return to wcc, not to Ohana

We like Whispering Canyon better foodwise, but even so, if your kids were younger, I would recommend Ohanas since they have broom/coconut races and hoola hooping for the little ones. I think for your age group Whispering Canyon would be a great food choice and a fun meal.

Are bottomless shakes tempting??? My niece was one really cranky camper when we arrived at Whispering Canyon and after some of their TLC and a couple chocolate shakes and an orange one in hand when we left, she was all smiles!!!

We've eaten at both and really enjoyed the food at both. WCC is noisy! My husband is noise sensitive and didn't think he'd like it, but he really loves BBQ and had a great time. We ate there for lunch and it was definitely quiter than the dinner crowd. Both my son and husband requested on our upcoming trip that we go back to O'hanas. We all really liked the food and my son loved the coconut sweeping races. Both of my kids are much younger than yours though (6 and 2 during the last trip). I can see where WCC would appeal more to older kids (the service staff is into practical jokes/ bawdy humor).

We enjoy both places and eat at both regularly. I would have to pick 'Ohana though as being our favorite and would pick that one to eat at.
