Which one would you suggest for a lunch to get a break from MK for a while? Do you need a PS for lunch at either. What would be a slow time in early afternoon for these restaurants? Which would be better for kids 10 & 4?

Without a doubt the Kona Cafe. The food is wonderful, the service is great, and the dessert is to "die for"!

Agree with Kona. Save room for dessert. The kids will love the Kiddie Cone :)

The food at Kona wins hands down! And the desserts are phenomenal. :D Madcoco is right...the kids will love the Kiddie Cone ... you should see it ... cotton candy, M&M's, butterfly cookies ... it is a sight. I had to take a picture of it when my DD5 ordered it. She couldn't finish it all but she loved it!:)

And I thoroughly enjoyed my dinner: delicious fresh tuna (that was on the dinner menu) and the Koko Puffs for dessert were yummy!

Whispering Canyon has good food and is very filling which may deter you. If I was not staying at WL, I would go to Whispering Canyon to enjoy the boat ride, if I was staying at WL then I would go with Kona to enjoy the Monorail ride

Thanks
Jason

I love both restaurants! I would suggest the Whispering Canyon. I think it's a little more kid friendly. It's always on my son's "must do" list.

The boat ride from the MK to WL is very nice, and your kids might get a kick out of seeing the geyser erupt.

The Kona Cafe has great food and is very relaxing. You really won't go wrong in either place.
