We're staying at CBR next week. Wilderness Lodge is one of my favorite places on property so we want to go over for a meal on our arrival day. We have a lunch reservation for WC but I'm torn between that and GP. We have two teens who aren't picky. Which restaurant is better? We've never eaten at either. I love the idea of sitting outside by the water. GP looks amazing. But, a little worried that either we won't get a table or that the "meal experience" is better at WC. For those who have eaten there - is GP more of a tapas and appetizer place or is it good for lunch too? Is it hard to get a table? Thanks!

GP is more of an app/tapas type of place, but I prefer that to a large meal. If you go at an "off" time you'll be more likely to get a table. I'd get there as soon as they open for an early lunch.

I don't know what's going on post-covid, but we've had full menu options at GP in the before times. Their Crab cake sandwich was my go-to choice each time.

GP is always an awesome choice! We make a point now to go there each trip for at least a drink and app. They do have full meals as well, even post COVID. The Bison Burger is fantastic.

We love both. GP is outdoors so if it is hot and humid, windy or rainy then it might not be the best choice. We ate there once on a chilly windy day and it was doable but I would have preferred to be inside. On the other hand, it is wonderful to be outside on a pretty day. WC takes reservations, but I don't think GP does.

Haven't been to Geyser Point, but have eaten at WC many times. All 3 meals feature an all-you-care-to-eat skillet option, and all of them are excellent. Also bottomless milkshakes (if their machine is working the day you go). With teens and their non-stop appetites, it's a great deal.

We went to Geyser Point in early December; there was a wait for one of their tables and the staff told us if we preferred, we could order out food at the bar to go (we weren't ordering any alcohol, however; I don't know if that would make a difference). So we did that and then went and sat at a table along the water. I could see the bar from where we were sitting and it was a quick walk back to get our food.

GP is one of our favorites. The outdoor setting is lovely and the food is better quality than WC IMO. Their bison burger is so good. You can order off the lounge or restaurant menu, and they are doing takeout now as well.

I like them both but prefer GP if the weather is nice. I think the atmosphere of both are equally nice in different ways, but the food seems a little better at GP to me, and you don't leave feeling uncomfortably full.

These days does the front gate security guard allow you to drive in to eat at Geyser Point?

We went last night. No problems parking at WL without a reservation. But it was a 90 minute wait for GP. Ended up eating Roaring Fork outside.
