Just wanted to know how the food is here? Booked dinner here for our trip in March. It will be me and DH , DD and DD's BF( both girls are 11).

I here that we should ask for things like straws and napkins???:confused3

They don't aready come on the table?

LOVED eating there! You will laugh a lot. If we told you why you should ask for things like straws and ketchup it would ruin the surprise! You'll find out soon enough when you get there. Food and atmosphere are both great! Enjoy!

I TOTALLY AGREE!!! We tried the WCC out on our June trip (our boys were 8 and 5) after reading all the reviews on this board. We are so glad we did! I never laughed so hard in all my life!!! The food is great, and definitely try their cornbread!!! It is to die for!!! :yay:

The food is great! The craziness depends on your server. We had one that wasn't that entertaining, but the server at the next table was a hoot!

We're going in July for the first time, and our guys are looking forward to those huge skillets of chicken, baked beans, and coleslaw that always look so good in everyone's pictures. We'll also have with us a future daughter-in-law who puts ketchup on everything, but we've vowed silence on telling her what will be happening to her there.

My opinion differs, a little. The atmosphere was great, while my children aren't little I loved watching the little ones get excited by everything. As for the food, it was OK. My son and I had the skillet, they were very slow replacing anything that my son wanted (he was 16 at the time...food is everything :rotfl2: ) If I'm not staying at the Lodge I don't think I would take the time to eat there but if you are it's a nice experience.

Thanks for all the replys:thumbsup2 I can't wait to find out how fun this place sounds!!

Ummmm.... don't forget to ask for ketchup -- even if you don't need it. My girls still talk about their dinner there.

One more thought.... the second time we ate there we were seated in the back of the restaurant, down by the kitchen doors. It is a smaller area with a nice fireplace but only a few tables which was separated by a wall...it was much more fun to be in the main dining area. I also agree about the servers. Some are funnier than others but if you are in the main room you get to witness them all and their antics. Keep your eyes and ears open... make sure they know it if someone in the party is having a birthday or something. Hope you have a great time!

Just don't build it up too much. We were very disappointed in August. Our server evidently was having a problem no and I mean no joking or funny things, none, zero, terrible service, no refills on the skillet even with 3 adults ordering it and we asked our server and many others because she was never around! Food was fair, not as good as HDDR. We won't be going back.

Yes! GO! Tons of fun! I agree with ALL the posts! It is tons of fun and with lots of interaction from the wait staff and the kids will have fun - even our 2 1/2 year old loved it! The food is great (if you lke BBQ and Family style) and the portions are well sized. HOWEVER - Its is NOT a DINNER SHOW, like the Poly Luau, Hoopdeedoo Review or whatever its called, but its more fun than eating at Kona or a "regular" restaurant. I hope you won't be diappointed!

They also have stick horse races an the kids get certificates. It is really cute to watch all the kids gallop around the resturant.

I booked WCC for breakfast and one for dinner. I hear it's a fun time. My kids can't wait. My son can't wait to ask for ketchup.

I knew it was not a dinner show that why we booked here. My DD told us not to tell her BF what goes on at this place. She said she is going to get her friend to ask for ketchup!!:goodvibes
