Whispering Canyon for birthday?

Has anyone celebrated a birthday at Whispering Canyon? If so, do they do anything special? We are thinking of going there for my DD's 5th birthday the night before our cruise. I've never been there and heard that the servers are hilarious so I thought it might be a good one for a birthday.

Just want to say that I would also like to know this. We were there ,Wispering Canyon, in Nov and I really liked it. So much so that I made a PS ressie for our upcoming trip for DGS 1st birthday. I think that you can order a BD cake in advance from any of the hotel restaurants, anyone done this, or have any other info re BD celebrations at Wispering Canyon?

Tell them when you check in that you are celebrating a birthday and then also tell your waiter/waitress. At some point in the meal they should make a big deal about it. Depending on the age of the child they will do various things. Bottom line they will have the entire place singing happy birthday to your child. They will also bring out a cupcake type cake for free for your child. You can also order a cake for about $12 I think from the WDW bakery in advance if you want the whole party to eat it. You may be able to get one from Whispering Canyon - ask when you make the PS. Great fun!! We have such a great time when we eat there.

No, but I think it would be AWESOME for a 5 year olds birthday! Let them know when you make the PS, and if you want a cake, it costs about $12 and you will need to call the restaurant 24 hours in advance, so they can have it for you.

Also, if you are going to the parks and DTD, make sure to go by Guest Relations and collect all of the birthday badges for him. Disney MGM is the same one as MK, though!

We celebrated my nephews 12th birthday there in August of 2002. Our server called him over on a microphone with two other people having their birthdays (a 13 year old girl and a teenage boy). Our server lead everyone in singing Happy Birthday to the three of them, and then made them all go for a wooden pony ride around the restaurant.

So, it's a great place to celebrate a birthday! Your DD will love it.

Don't forget to ask for some ketchup

We just celebrated our dd's 5th birthday there in Dec. We told them when we made the ps. They gave her a free cake (a small cupcake with ice cream and gummy worms) and stood her on a chair while everyone in the place sang "Happy Birthday". She also did the pony races and helped with the ketchup....we had a wonderful time!
