whispering canyon - can you just sit back and watch others

Hi: Would like to go to the whispering canyon to try their food. Is there a way to just sit back and not be involved in the antics, just watch others be involved?

yes! we do this many times. the wait staff is pretty good in "picking up" on whether or not you want to be involved. we enjoy breakfast there. it is great! go and have a fun time observing.

Absolutely! We just did it. As we were being seated, I told the hostess we were there to eat and not be bothered. Waitress was alot of fun and had a great personality and we got to watch the 'show' going on in the restaurant without being part of it. By the way, the waitress got a great tip from us for honoring our wishes (aka just leaving us alone).

you can - we do this every time we eat there. when you check in, you can ask for a table in a quiet area in the back, where the shenanigans are kept to a minimum but you can still watch the goings on the rest of the dining room.

Yes you can. I took both sets of parents there and I was the only one participating. The other five at the table ate and enjoyed everything. Well, probably not me doig the hokey poley but you get the idea.

Me & DH ate there last trip and although I was quite happy to twirl my napkin etc DH just sat there looking horrified! There were a few other groups there with no kids and there was no pressure to be silly if you didn't want to join in.

i agree...you can ask not to be in stuff...our waitress asked the kids if they wanted ketchup & they said "no" & she was like..."ok"

so its nice ....they dont force it on you!!!
