Has anyone been lately? What are the pros and cons of dining here? Is it worth the trip?

We really enjoyed it. The food was good and very filling. But be warned. The atmosphere can be downright raucous. It's loud and fun (kids love it). Some servers are rowdy and play a lot. Some of the servers are more low-key than others, but all-in-all it makes for an enjoyable meal. I recommend it, but not if you want a relaxing or quiet atmosphere.

This is our favorite place to eat. We love all of WL.

They serve basic, well prepared country type food and lots of it. You will see gun fights, shouting, napkin waving and cheering. The children always seem to have the most fun.

Our last trip in 2000 we had "Woody" who came out with my sister's side order of beans in a huge bucket. She was sooooo embarrassed. He did a lot of fun things with us.

If you rather have a quiet, formal dinner, try the Artist Point, a few doors down on the left. Great food and great atmosphere.

Welcome to the DIS fellow RN. ;)

WCC can be quite loud, but also a lot of fun. The restaurant does have a "quiet corner" -- well, it's not THAT quiet, but it's somewhat set apart.

Want to participate in the fun? Here are some tips:

1) Ask your server for ketchup

2) Ask your server where his/her six-shooter is (don't say G-U-N)

3) Ask your server for directions to Universal Studios

4) Ask your server where you can buy GUM at WDW

5) Ask where the restrooms are located

6) Wear a t-shirt or hat from Universal and then talk loudly (when the server is around) about how much fun you had there

There are others, but this gives you a good start. As mentioned, some servers are more "interactive" than others, so if you want interaction, ask at the hostess desk when you check in.

PS are recommended for this place, especially lunch or dinner.

Thanks for all the tips. This sounds like the place for us! We have reservations for dinner before the MVMCP. Will there be any special Holiday antics happening?
I am sure wearing our Mickey Mouse and Pooh christmas hats will stir up some trouble.
I'll be sure not to fill the rest of my family in on the antics. I'll have my husband ask for the ketchup!!

I'm pretty sure your husband would like a straw for his drink too....make sure he asks for one:tongue:

You guys are mean!!!!! Just kidding. I have to agree with everyone else WCC is a fun place to eat. The food is pretty good and the atmosphere is wonderful. I did ask for kecthup the first time we went, now I make my wife ask. When we go in Jan. we're taking our neice for the first time. She's 10 and a big fan of ketchup. We can't wait to see her face when she asks.

Hi! I'm not big on the "antics", but the BBQ skillet is very good. The pulled pork and ribs are sooo good. I like the playful atmosphere, but when I'm hungry the food is what counts. I'd eat here again!

Is this the restaurant where they serve the food in skillets and place them on lazy susans? I've heard it's alot of fun.
