I have never eaten at the Whispering Canyon Cafe, but we are considering lunch there in December, as it is one of the few restaurants that still has ADRs available. We will have ten people- six adults, two kids, and two babies.

We are looking for a restaurant that will be fun for the kids. I understand there is some races and songs and other amusements for kids there. I heard somewhere that there is not as many kid activities at lunch as there is at dinner. Can anyone confirm or deny that is true?

Thanks!

lunch doesn't have the antics that dinner does although you can ask your server if they can do a special pony ride for you!

We went for breakfast and there were lots of antics. We really enjoyed it!

Had dinner there and despite some "stick in the mud" behavior from my sisters the place was a total HOOT!!

We are there for lunch last month. The didn't do the pony races but did the other antics - dds (8,6) had a great time.

Personally, we won't go back (hubby got sick on the food and I thought the food was gross) and the service was awful. The night we had dinner there were NO antics at all the entire two hours we were there. I understand lunch is more subdued. But I've also read that it depends on your server as to how much antics you will have.

Have done dinner at WCC twice & it was great both times foodwise & funwise. This past Sept we did a late lunch there & there was really nothing going on funwise as the place was about empty & our server (Deputy Diane) was ok but looked tired. Food was still good tho. Maybe if you go during the "peak" lunch it will be more lively. I think it was around 2pm when we went.

Just wanted to throw in my 2 cents........ WCC is the ONLY restaurant that my hubby requested we go back to on our upcoming trip - he still talks about the brisket! The atmosphere is fun & the food is great - I would say give it a try! It tends to get very mixed reviews but in our opinion it was awesome!

The Whispering Canyon Cafe is a fun place to eat for the kids but the food is not that great. You should try it once, the kids will have fun.
