Can somebody who has been to Whispering Canyon Cafe recently please confirm.... did they remove the sausage from the skillet?

When we were there last year, the sausage had been removed from the skillet. DH was disappointed and joked with our waiter that they had done it just because they knew we were coming. Apparently it is still used for another dish (appetizer I think), because our server was able to have it added back into our skillet. So be sure to ask if you don't get it.

Have a great trip!

When did you go in 2010? I can personally verify that they served sausage in the skillet in mid-July, 2010. If they removed it after that time frame, it's possible they brought it back (according to another post here).

Thanks for the tip. My husband and FIL are both meat and potatoes kind of people....the sausage here was a big deal for FIL. :upsidedow

Sausage is on the lunch skillet but NOT on the dinner skillet. It may be possible to get some for dinner if it is available from the chef but not guaranteed. There used to be a sausage and cheese app on the dinner menu that is no longer offered.

It was always on my dinner skillet until the trip 2 years ago. When ordering the hearthrob roundup lady said that the skillet was slightly changed "tonight" and that they were "short on the sausage" (her attempt at Toy story humor and it worked because the kids didn't get it but us grownups did). That night they were substituting the little pails of peel and eat shrimp. So, we had little buckets of shrimp, chicken, ribs and pulled pork with the fixins. It was a very good change. I would take that anytime I ate there. :thumbsup2

Got an ADR there for next Tuesday, Guess I will find out.

Listen to her, not what anyone else has shared from old trips or different meals (lunch vs dinner)...
