We're staying at Wilderness Lodge so I was planning to make ADRs at WCC. But then I started reading about Trails End Buffet, and now I'm thinking that might be the better choice. If you've been to both for dinner, which did you prefer?

I've done dinner at both and I have to give my vote to Trails End.

It's been a must do every trip and it is by far my sons favorite place on property.

I enjoy Whispering Canyon but for me, the selection at Trails End is much better and my service at Whispering Canyon is always hit or miss.

We had the time of our lives at WCC. "Rusty Raphael", our waiter was superb and had us all in stitiches :rotfl2: To be honest I don't really remember the food. It wasn't bad, it just was not the highlight of our lunch.

I do remember the food at Trail's End being delicious and I just love Ft. Wilderness.

For me it would come down to entertainment at lunch or the atmosphere at Ft. W.

Depends. The food is better and there are more choices with the buffet at Trail's End. The service there is also consistently excellent. The food at Whispering Canyon is certainly fine, though. It's probably a better choice if you're looking for a more high-energy, entertaining experience.

Anymore opinions on this subject or is it pretty unanimous that Trail's End is better?

How does the all you care to eat family option at Whispering work? It will be Dh, me, DS10 and DD5. Is it included in the dining plan and do we all need to order it?

Whispering canyon has a great breakfast but there dinner is great if you get the canyon skillet which used to be on the menu but it changes pretty frequently .... The manager always told us to ask for it and they'll give it to you.... It's delicious usually all you can eat ribs, pulled pork, roasted chicken, sausage, mashed potatoes, corn, cornbread, and a few other things I probably forgot ..... It is on the dining plan along with most of the menu ..... When you arrive be sure to ask if you can get a milkshake as part of your dining plan and they will usually give it to you with no extra charge and it's unlimited refills.... The dessert alone is worth going for though which is included on dining plan it's one of the most unique on property with a s'mores type desert and apple pie and even a delicious chocolate cake... Be prepared though it's a restraint that the waiters like to poke fun and have a good time with the guests to create an experience to remember but if your easily offended you probably won't enjoy their comedy. Overall I've eaten their many times and it's always been good just be prepared to be full when you leave. It's good kind of southern style barbecue with a disney flare. The property alone is worth going to see though if you've never been in the wilderness lodge.... There's no other hotel like it in my opinion.... The lobby alone is spectacular... It amazes me every time and I've stayed there 3-4 times and been in it countless amounts if times. Hope this helped.

The second part of this is that they bring a certain size skillet(literally) to the table based on how many people order the all you can eat canyon skillet kids and adults are given the same thing if they want or they can actually order a meal on the dining plan off of the kids menu .... If you are doing all, you can eat they prefer that you all order it if your going to eat it but they never say anything if like one person orders it and someone else orders something else but also eats some of the all you can eat that the want to try and opens up liking better or something like that.... They're usually very accommodating

There's more of a variety at trails end. I thought the food and service was fantastic.
