I had originally booked a table for 12 at Whispering Canyon Cafe for our first night in Florida, I am really worried about the "hijinks" of the restaurant and how some of my older family members will take it? There are no children in our party.

Raglan Road is showing up free for our evening so I was thinking of swapping there, the food is a much safer choice, but I know its meant to be loud there? If it helps we have are looking at a 6pm booking?

What would you do? We will all be travelling straight from the Magic Kingdom?

Hi Gem

we ate at raglan road and werent very impressed the food wasn't great and neither was the service. We might just of been unlucky though. We had reservations for Whispering canyon cafe and changed it when we arrived for Artist Point it was lovely in there.

What day are you looking at going?

I LOVE Raglan Road!!!:yay: We have had amazing service every time we have been!
I so go with Raglan Road; only because I am a little biased.:rolleyes1
We ate at Whispering Canyon on our last visit to Disney and we were not that impressed.

Raglan Road is good - but whilst there is no 'high jinks', it can still get very busy and noisy. We were considereing it for our welcome dinner, but changed our mind for that reason!! Have you considered a lesser used resort restaurant? We have settled on Turf Bar Grill at Saratoga Springs. It will be a (hopefully) quiet dinner and then there is easy access to DTD (by boat or walking path) for those who would like to continue the evening there. Those who don't, can get a taxi back to resort or stroll to DTD and get a bus!! :thumbsup2

On our first night at WDW, almost all my wedding guests met up at RR. I was seriously one of the highlights of the trip! Everyone had so much fun and loved the food. There is a much bigger variety there, especially if you have picky eaters or vegetarians.
