Hello! Thinking of doing lunch at Whispering Canyon Cafe on the day we arrive. Our flight is scheduled to land around 10:30am, then with transit time and stuff its hard to predict when we'll actually be there ready to eat. Is there often a wait to be seated around 1pm there? Are reservations required? Just wondering if we can walk up to this restaurant and get a table or not. Thanks in advance!

It of course depends on the time of year, but we walked up with no wait last February right around the same time.

It is hard to say because it will depend on when you are going and how crowded DW will be at that time. Because of the $10 per person no show penalty for our arrival day we check online either when we're on DME or after we arrive at the resort to see what's available and make a reservation at that time.

We ate lunch there on our departure day last April (Easter week so VERY busy time at WDW) and we also walked up with no wait around 1 pm. The restaurant was pretty empty at that time and it was quite a different experience from our dinner earlier in the week. I would say that you have a good shot at eating there for lunch without a reservation.

Thanks everyone! We're going May 16th, so well before memorial day, so hopefully it'll be somewhat quiet! Good idea about making a reservation the same day too. I'll consider that too!

1) Lunches at resorts seldom have long waiting times.
2) People are at the parks, not at the resorts easting lunch.
3) WCC is no different.
