Whispering Canyon - anyone like the appetizers more than the dinner entrees?

DH enjoyed the appetizers we had one night. A 2nd night that vaca we returned for dinner-didnt enjoy it so much.
Anyone else notice a difference?

yep, that would be me. I could eat the nachos (as I have stated many times on this board) everytime I go. I don't care to even try fake BBQ. (texas, memphis, KC, STL, and the Carolinas is BBQ)
pulled pork and baked chicken slathered in sauce (that kinda taste like Kraft is not BBQ)

Not to debate what region has the best because it is all different in each place. Anyway, growing up eating BBQ and working it, and having a passion for smoked meat in sauce, causes you to develop a real predjudice for meats that are not loved into the smoker or pit.

As for WC, I think it is my favorite place to eat in WDW. And I have never order an entree except for once and that was a sandwich of somekind. burger or steak maybe. After that one entree, I only order apps. to this day.

I am calling in the morning to make so ps at WC for my upcoming trip.

What about dessert? I fell in love with the Banana Dust Bowl. Had it 3 times in 5 days. Hmmmm thinking I need to stop by and get another one when I go back in a couple of weeks.

We only eat there for breakfast..as lunch/dinner have never been that impressive.

We are kind of the same with Artist Point. Next month (first time I could say that, yipee!), we plan on appetizers and desert there. We loved our meal, but were more impressed with soup, salad, and goodies.

We have never gotten appetizers or dessert there. We save our appetites for the fake bbq. LOL! We are always too stuffed from the fake bbq to eat the desserts either. Their food is good stuff!

I guess I am another one that likes the "fake" BBQ there too! Oh well, I guess I didn't grow up on the good stuff, so the fake tastes fine to me!!

I have to save myself for the meal there too. It's a heavy meal. DH does like to get milk shakes here because they are unlimited on the refills.

Yes Melanie I see you are from the non bbq capital of the world, the mid atlantic. I am from MD. While we can only dream of real BBQ, we Marylanders have the best seafood in the US. Not even Fultons comes close! LOL!
