Whispering Cannons

I've read somewhere that Whispering Cannon has changed the way they make there smoke house meals. Has anyone been there since the change. We have reservation in three weeks.

We were there last week. My husband had there skillet with the smoked ribs etc and declared it was all good. I never saw or smelled the smoke house. Food was great and the environment a lot of fun. Kids loved it. We ate there twice during our week stay at WL.

we had it 2 nights ago and everything went great- food was above average for a resort theme restaurant- service was great- kids had a blast. we'd go back if we stay here again.

We were there in Dec (and several months before that). I had the skillet - it was great except for one thing - I can't remember what it was, but one item on ther was awful (to my taste buds). I LOVED the ribs and pulled pork. The Turkey Leg is always good.

I did hear that they used to have a character breakfast, but I think they got rid of it.

Ft Wilderness and the WL currently share a smoke house.

Yes the Smokehouse at the WL is now closed. That was the fun part of the WL tour.Imho our dinner before Xmas was a little on the miss side. The ribs and sausage seemed over done like it had been sitting for quite awhile. Could have just been bad timing. It was packed when we ate. Miss the bottles of different BBQ sauces. Service was great. Had fun. Had a good Christmas day breakfast there.

Just a little FYI..........the name of the restaurant is Whispering Canyon.

Whispering Canyon is open.

The smokehouse at the WL they used to prepare the ribs,chicken,sausage,salmon etc. is closed down. They prepare the items elsewhere now.

OOhhh, I get it. The actual smokehouse for smoking the meats is closed at WL. They prepare other things (veggies, salads, etc) at Whispering Canyon, but the smoking of the meats is done elsewhere.

Where was the smokehouse at WL?
